Are Pilates exercises okay?

I've recently been diagnosed with a stage 2 cystocele and the doctor only recommended Kegels but I forgot to ask him if it was okay to do Pilates again?

Anyone know?

Pain and constipation after rectocele surgery

I had surgery to repair a rectocele in November 2005. For the past 3 months, i cannot control the constipation feeling, only the stool does not seem like usual constipation stool, tremendous amount of pain and agony while trying to go to the bathroom. Is is possible for this rectocele to be back this soon? I lost my insurance and was not able to go back to the doc for a 6 week post op. I have quite a bit of pain with intercourse also. Anyone with the same problem, or advice on what i should do?

Fire Breathing Questions

I haven't been online for awhile so this is the first I've heard of fire breathing & the great results some of you have had. It was my understanding that with a uterine prolapse you can never get the uterus back up in the correct position. If in fact you can bring it up, does it stay there or fall again? Since I have high blood pressure it doesn't sound like a good thing for me to try.

Massage for uterine prolapse?

If anyone has tried Arvigo Massage or Chi Nei Tsang (Chinese Abdominal Massage)I would be interested in hearing their comments. Both methods claim to put the uterus back in its proper position; what's to keep it there?

Looking for some support

Aloha,
I came across this site while reserching online concerning the tissues of my vagina looking like they are falling in. I noticed this a couple of years ago and was informed that it happens some times and to try kiegle excersies. Since then I had forgot about it. Untill this evening when I relized the condition looked a bit more unusual. So now I am here and had read over the other posts and looked at the information on this site and am going to call a womans office in the morning. I am not sure what I am feeling. But I am glad I found this place. I will update soon.

Hysterectomy with fibroids and rectocele surgery

I am being told that I should have surgery, a total hysterectomy and rectocele. My husband does not want me to for a lot of reasons. He is worried about me and my health. I have been reading about it and I am very confused. The doctors think I should. I get fibroids about every 5 years and than a D&C each time. I bet bleeding that can go on for months and months. This time I only have had a little spotting on two days so far. I am using progesterone suppositories to reduce the fibroids. I am using compounded hormones that are rubbed on the skin now. For about 15 years I used the regular hormones and this year I changed. I think they are safer. Without them I have hot flashes.

Birth chairs

Hi everyone

I couldn't find the previous thread about birth chairs, so I started a new one.

This one was recently featured on the Australian ABC, our national broadcaster. What do you think of this one?

Sorry about the long URL. You can also find it by going to www.abc.net.au/newinventors/ and click on the Find an Invention menu on the lefthand side. It is called the BirthRite, and has some very woman-friendly features. There is also a little video that probably works if you have a better dial up speed than I have, or broadband.

sex and prolapse

hi ladies it has been a long time since i was last on the forum.
i thought i would fill you in on how im doing.i went to my gp who basicaly said i would have to deal with itthe best way i could and the ONLY way to fix a prolapse was surgery.

i dont know if you will remember when i first jioned this forum but i was having big marrage problems as i had lost a little boy at 18wks pg to spina bifida and my husband had had a vasectomy without my knowing(obviusly i knew after the fact).

we have now resolved our differances and are on the road to recovery.

i tell you all this as i think ,part of us getting our act together in life and in bed had helped my prolapse.
