WW walking

I frequently walk in a nearby park that has a somewhat hilly terrain, always working on WW posture. My understanding is that WW teaches going uphill is better for prolapse than going downhill. This is a little hard for me to understand, it seems counter-intuitive. For example, when going uphill in a car, my purse next to me slides backward, when going downhill, the purse slides forward. WW teaches that going uphill encourages our pelvic organs to fall forward. Can you help clarify for me how this works so that I can work on the visualization? I hope I'm making sense!

milex pessary

Since I can not use trimo San , I would like to try vitamin e or coconut oil. Does anyone know if they damage the silicon pessary? Thanks

Keeping our daughters' natural posture intact

Forum:

I'd love to hear others' thoughts on how we prevent our daughters from unconsciously losing their natural WW posture the way we all did as we grew up. My daughter is still very young so she is still a beautiful reminder to me of how to stand in WW. I can see my son starting to lose it (though I know it is different for grown men). For those of you with girls, what sorts of classes do you feel comfortable putting them in? I'm worried about the ubiquitous ballet that she's sure to request at some point because I know that is notorious for demanding girls to tuck. What about gymnastics?

What brings me here

Hello WW friends,
I find myself in need of this community. I've been working on this prolapse for 20+ years. My first major symptom I remember is how the usage pattern on my tampon was odd. Only one side of the tampon was used. It took me a while to figure out it was because the tampon was going alongside my cervix rather than up against it.

Then (about 15 yr. ago) at one of my gyny appointments, as the pelvic exam began, the doctor suddenly threw up his hands and said, "Your uterus has fallen and you need a hysterectomy!" This scared me. I grabbed my panties and ran.

Breathing ... and stomach noises

Forum:

I almost don't like to mention this but I don't know what to make of it. When I breathe in via my midriff from a standing or sitting position, my inside becomes extremely noisy. Lots of gurglings, rumblings and noises more appropriate to a plumbing problem than a smooth breathing exercise! Does anyone else experience similar sound effects?

A nagging kegel question, sorry

I know long-time members are sick of kegel questions, but I would just love some clarification. I have almost all Christine's products from the first book to the urinary incontinence program and have done a lot of reading on this site. I understand and have experienced how WW posture alone reverses prolapse, but my question is about urinary incontinence. If you define kegels as using the same muscles you use to stop urine midstream, I don't understand how strengthening those muscles that are stopping the stream of urine doesn't help incontinence.

Almost 10 years!

I thought that surgery was my only option years ago. I found Christine's web site 10 years ago and I will be grateful to her forever for revealing her knowledge to the world. I am still doing fine without any medical intervention. I have learned a lot over those years. Please give your body time and respect. There isn't an easy and quick fix for prolapse. When you understand the problem and learn how to manage it, your life will become closer to what you considered normal.

Longstanding Cystocele - arthritis and bladder emptying

I'm 64, have had a cystocele for over 25 yrs. During this time only relatively minor discomfort until a few months ago when I got more severe symptoms (and probably more 'celes!) Main problem was sciatica type pain in backside, lower back pain (on and off for years), general discomfort and increasing difficulty fully emptying bladder. Have always been very active but am underweight with a few (mildish as yet) problems with arthritis.

Pop and other infections/illnesses?

So my daughter has recently had chicken pox. The spots appeared two weeks ago and we got on with things pretty well with the only change in our routine being that she couldn't attend nursery and my morning walks with the baby were impossible.
