Can someone explain to me?

Why in this chapter entitled "Normal Abdominal and Pelvic Anatomy" do they teach using an MRI of a patient with a retrograde uterus? Are they TRYING to obfuscate what female pelvic anatomy is supposed to look like?

I'm new to this forum and the prolapse issue. I hope someone can help me.

I need some advice and after looking over some of what has been written, I feel confident that someone out there can help me. I was kneeling down 10 days ago, lost my balance and fell back on my lower back. I felt a kind of 'pop' and experienced excruciating pain. I took ibuprofen and went to the Dr for xray and was told nothing was fractured. Two days later I went on a preplanned trip, still in pain. During my trip I walked and tried to 'carry on' with my usual lifestyle. I am very active. I walk, practice Yoga, ride bikes etc., and consider myself to be very healthy.

I know I shouldn't have looked, but...(please help!)

I had been feeling very positive lately about my prolapse improving, in fact I feel pretty much symptom-free. I am now 2 months pp and I know there is more healing to go, but I took a look today and am totally freaked out! When I parted the labia (I am still not comfortable writing these things!), there was so much tissue in my vagina. I don't even know what it all is!

"The Two Doors" by Louise

Hello to all,

May I please suggest, if you have yet to do so, to read Louise's The Two Doors.

This may be found under:

and then select Readers Write.

For a newbie, I found Louise's 'Two Doors" most beautiful as well as a breath of fresh relief!

Thank you Louise!

cervix height during pregnancy

So...my cervix is about an inch inside my vaginal opening. It presses into my posterior vaginal wall and rests on my muscles there. I'm having a lot of issues with very tight/painful pelvic floor muscles and I'm wondering if it may be due to the fact that there is so much pressure placed on them by my uterus. It doesn't sound like many other people have this pain, though. Any thoughts on this? Also, I've read that during pregnancy, the uterus will "pop up" after a few months. How far up does it go? Would the uterus likely be lifted up off of the pelvic floor muscles?
Thanks!

WHOLE WOMAN ON THE ROAD

Dear Women,

We are beginning to put the Whole Woman Workout on video and have just gotten a fantastic brain storm this morning - actually, it was my brilliant daughter’s idea.

We would like to feature as many of you as possible in the video. The idea is to travel to your state to film you doing a tiny bit (a few seconds) of the workout - preferably in beautiful, natural settings. For instance, if one of our members lives in northern Arizona, we could shoot at the edge of the Grand Canyon.

postpartum sex (TMI)

Hey Ladies,
I'm so elated right now that I have to share this info. After months of dreading having sex with my hubby post baby and POP, I finally bit the bullet and did it. The last time we had sex was 8 weeks post partum. It was disappointing. I felt like my vagina was ruined. Well not anymore! It feels exactly the same as it did before I pushed my 9 lbs baby out! I was shocked! A woman's body truly is made to have babies and enjoy sex. I'm now 7 months postpartum. Time really is the best healer. Just had to share!

I love your kitchen Christine....

I have stuff for growing wheat grass but want to buy a "Glow" light. That is the only thing I'm presently growing inside. (or am set up for growing - almost). I want to garden, too, but didn't get to it (yet) this summer. Kind of late. I have been a natural food "nut" for years but get a lot of flack and my hubby isn't as into it. He tolerates me but goes along with me sometimes. I store sprouting seeds but am not actively using them. Not sure what I'm waiting for, lol. I should start using them. I don't know how to make sprouted wheat bread but eat Ezekial.

sea sponges - lubrication and cleaning

I said I'd ask Jade and Pearl about this but, in fact, no need - it's on their website. They recommend olive or grapeseed oil, or their own shea nut butter lubricant (sold as Wild Yam Bodacious Body Butter). To clean - as per brochure (salt, baking soda, tea tree oil or colloidal silver), and to remove oil, a natural soap that won't affect the pH of the vagina. They sell a bee and flower natural soap (I hope that means honey rather than dead bee)but I suppose any similar non-proprietary soap would do. Rinse it very well I assume.

Prolapse is an Inflammatory Disease

(I’m not really here - but studying frantically at the medical library - sh-h-h-h)

The lightbulb just went on this week and the evidence is there to support the fact that prolapse is an inflammatory disease. Outside of such promoters as poor posture, modern lifestyle, mechanical assault of technobirth and surgery, etc., prolapse is indeed a “connective tissue disorder.”

But not in the way that we have been told - that it is a genetic foregone conclusion and irreversible. Genetics are always involved in cell biology and indeed our race and ethnicity play a role.
