Tailbone/lower back relationships? (newbie)

Hello ladies,

Bladder training

Hey, Ladies,

Well, I am still dealing with this irritated bladder/cystitis-like feeling/have to pee all the time thing. It kinda depreesses me a bit, b/c hey, my babe is 8 months old and every 8 mo pp mom is reporting huge successes and reversals, and here I am with a small bulge, an even smaller rectocele and suffering all day! Not fun.

So I can go and be depressed or I also can redouble my efforts. I chose the effort, lol.

I did a thorough research on the site about bladder problems first.

Staring into the crystal ball, what do you see for WW?

Hi All,

This topic is all about the Prolapse Wars.

Staring into the crystal ball, what do you see happening in future?

1 Whom do you think it is most important to influence and educate about the Wholewoman model of self-managaement of pelvic organ prolapse, eg ordinary women, mothers of babies, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, independent midwives, naturopaths, body workers, fitness industry, schools, others (specify)?

2 Whom do you think will be easiest to influence and educate about the Wholewoman model of self-management of POP, eg ditto groups?

one of those days . . .

Ahhh . . . I don't want to rant, and my life is so amazing in so many ways that I really can't justify complaining, but it's been one of those "one step back" kind of days. You know the kind. I really thought I had turned a corner, leaving that stupid bulge behind. I know this is not uncommon, but it makes me say "really? c'mon. really?" Blah. (Just using this forum as an outlet, to get the nasties out of my brain. DH and family are wonderful, but in all honesty, I don't like to share my crotch woes out loud). So, shaking it off now! Whew. Here's to a better tomorrow.

Newbie: Where do I start?

Hello everyone -

I am 65 and I have been diagnosed with a 3rd degree cystocele and 1st degree rectocele. I had my uterus removed about 25 years ago and then 15 years ago had my ovaries removed. I do have a cervix, but that is all. I first noticed the pelvic floor collapse about a year ago. I consulted with a gynecologist last winter and tried three different pessaries and none of them worked. My feeling is that the extent of the collapse and the amount of sagging tissue is too great to handle a pessary. It’s like trying to hold up a tent with a frisbee!

OT: PPD

I know this is off topic and I hope nobody minds.
I'm prone to PPD and would like to avoid it if possible this time around. or at least manage it better.
so many women here know so much about so many things I thought I'd ask for ideas. my mw has suggested I consult with a biochemical nutritionist that she works with, so I might do that soon. would love to hear about anything else that might be useful so I can have a solid plan in place before I lose the capacity to think logically.
thanks!

Mae's Prolapse and New grandbaby!!

Hey My Dear Whole Woman friends!

All is well in Grandbabyland! I am soo enjoying our new grandson and the fact that he is now over 10 pounds and I don't have to worry that picking him up might destroy my bladder "tuck up." I love how the doctors use that term and make it sound like no big deal! I thank Christine every time I hold that sweet precious baby that I can cuddle, pick up and walk around with him. At worst, my bladder will protest, but I know it will go back where it belongs..or at least rests comfortably!

Horse riding

I am new to this site and am really glad to have found it. After the birth of my second child I developed what I now know to be a cystocele (my first baby was a forceps delivery and this is when I think the damage was done). This hasn't bothered me much at all over the last few years - my kids are now 9 and 11. However, a couple of months ago I returned to horse riding after a break of about 8 years. I have experienced some leakage when trotting, but only a little.
