Can Weight Loss worsen a Prolapse?

Hi
I am a 52 year old mother of five young men. I have recently lost a ton of weight with weight watchers. In the last year I have gone down 90 pounds. For several years I have had a grade four cystocele and a grade 3 uterine prolapse. I feel in recent weeks this has become worse. I am wondering if you ever enter a point of no return were surgery is your only option. I really don't want to go that route. Each
evening this prolapse is clearly visable and bulging. Not nice. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ladies,

My daughter and I are taking weekly hiking trips with my 2 year-old granddaughter, who we still have to carry a fair amount of the time when we're in rugged territory or if she becomes frightened by bugs or whatever, which happens pretty regularly.

First edition of STWW

Can anybody advise me about whether the exercises in the first edition of STWW (which I seem to have mislaid) are now considered in any way detrimental? I used to do them and have forgotten them, and unless anyone would advise otherwise, I'm going to try and get a second hand copy to remind me. Thanks Judith

Good PTs and gynaes in London?

Does anyone know of good, anti-surgery gynaes and PTs who go beyond Kegels in London? There was a post by mummy76 a while back saying that she'd seen a top gynae who'd warned against going under the knife, sounds like my kind of doctor. Also, I'd like to see a PT who can work with POP around my spinal issue, who knows that Kegels aren't the be all and end all. I don't know how this email contact thing works, some people have it, others don't, and mummy76 doesn't have a contact tab so I can't ask her directly. Am I missing something obvious about the workings of the forum?

rectocele exercises (esp for davina)

This is for davina, only just spotted your request. Christine gave me this exercise when I first posted on here years ago, I've copied and pasted it. I've found it very helpful:

cystocele post partum and pain

Hi,

i am new here as i have a pretty fresh prolapse after my first baby boy was born 3 mounths ago. I have a moderate cystocele ,rectocele and uterus decens.Firstly i really apreciate reading all the good tips and encouraging stories from all of you. i have a few questions.
firstly, I have been dealing with cystites like symptoms a lot and this is my biggest worry, will the pain ever go away ?Has anyone else in this site dealt with such symptoms and do they go away as time passes? I have been to the doctor with lots of urine samples so i know there is no infection.

Hello All,

dvd workout and problems

Hi Ladies,

I am not sure whether my problems are connected to me doing the workout on the DVD. But I believe that they are.

pain and bleeding common with prolapse?

Hi again ladies,

I've searched the site for topics on pain and bleeding with a prolapse and didn't find much... I apologize if this subject has been discussed and I just didn't find it.

I'm wondering, is it common for the vaginal bulge to become irritated to the point of sharp pains and even a little bit of blood?

almost 3 months postpartum- update

well I like to consider this past three months as my 4th trimester. I have rested well and have only just begun to exercise. Our sweet darling baby is so fun right now- he can laugh. And he is very smart- clicking his tongue to copy us- or copying the sounds we make at him. We have not experienced any sibling fussiness yet. Having 4 kids is a joy. I already want another baby.
