I see the uro-gyno tomorrow, I am scared.

Well, I don't know if scared is the right word, but anxious.

I'm going in as well informed as I can be, and I'm anticipating a conflict. I've never seen this woman before and can't find out anything about her online other than one paper she wrote about smoking and TVT erosion--so that tells me she is surgery focused. UGH!

I would have cancelled the appt. but I'm in early menopause (42) and am having other issues that I want to have addressed along with the POP.

Christine's balms and Replens

I've been rrading on here about Christine's balms and have ordered a set of three. I've also been researching Replens on the net, and it seems that women either love it or hate it. For some it works wonders, others experience itching, burning and unpleasant discharge. So my question is, why can't Christine's balms be used high up in the vagina? It seems that the balms are used on the vulva or just inside, and some women use Replens as well, for higher up. Please excuse my ignorance, I probably missed an explanatory post somewhere. Really Low Cervix 13 weeks pregnant

I was just hoping some of you could share your experiences with second pregnancy after prolapse. I discovered I had a cystocele and prolapsed uterus one year after giving birth to my daughter (she is now almost 3). She was born naturally, but I did have an episiotomy which took a long time to heal. With physical therapy my symptoms were practically gone except a few days a month I could feel my cervix, probably coinciding with my cycle somehow.

new case and deeply discouraged

Hi all,

Thank you, thank you for this site! Sorry for this long post, but I'm just needing to get it all off my chest.

Question about compression belt

I have a compression belt for my SI joint given to me by the pt(yours looks much nicer by the way). I have not been wearing it because I was worried that it would be similar to wearing tight pants. It puts pressure on the abdomen. Isn't that bad for prolapse. I didn't want to make anything worse. In order for it to feel good I have to wear it very tight, and when I take it off I feel like a bowl of jelly. All reasons why I have stayed away from it.

7 months post partum update

Hi all,

I realize that no one is really as interested in one's POPs as oneself is, but I know that several months ago, I was dying to read post partum stories in order to understand what was ahead. So here is my update.

There is HOPE and LIFE for the Post Partum!!!

I thought I would get on here and post about my amazing healing after childbirth. I appreciate this forum soooo much. You have no idea how common prolapse is and no one even talks about it. If you track me you can see my first posts. Anyway, here I am 7 months post partum and I just went hiking with my baby on my back. I can camp, chase my boys round the yard, give piggy back rides, and do lots of other things and never even notice any problems. I tried running the other day....maybe won't do that for a while. But even with that, I only felt hangy for a few hours.

cystocele: some progress, some lack thereof

Hello, ladies:

Travel tips, anyone?

Hello, ladies:

Does anyone have advice for traveling on a transatlantic flight and playing tourist for a week, while dealing with POPs? I hate sitting for that long, but it is unavoidable. I will take frequent walk/restroom breaks in flight and try to stay reasonably hydrated. Maybe some Bliss Balm in a small container will accompany me to Europe. Thanks.

Pelvic pain from Rectocele, Do Whole Woman exercises help?

Hello, just wondering if anyone out there has experienced pelvic pain, rectal pain and pressure from a rectocele? I can't seem to stand on my feet for more than a few hours without taking a rest as it is very painful. Sitting also seems to hurt my bottom. Has anyone had this problem and done the exercises suggested? And if so, did it improve the discomfort? Please, if anyone could send some encouragement my way. I do not want to have surgery, but I don't want to live like this either. Thanks!
