Suffering and thrilled to find you all

Hi I am a 31yo with 2 boys the first one was 7lb 8 oz with epesiotomy
the second one was 9lb 7.5 oz with minor tearing... I now have rectocele and some problems with urine retension! I saw a doc in albany ny who said that I was not a candidate for PT(HUH??) and should just go for the surgery! He told me this on DEC 31st, way to end the year;) and that he was going to use cadaver tissue to do the repair! I have started to get better since splinting and lubricating and eating better! Any other advice? thanks - Jodi

Checking

Has anybody ever had a feel of their prolapses literally just before their period starts. I have coughed so badly over the last few days and my period is due any moment so things are a bit more fragile down there. Anyway, I was feeling really uncomfotable this morning like my uterus had come down or something so eventually I plucked up the courage to find out. I would say that everything feels really puffy.

Hi all :) I'm new...

Hello-

I found your site today by accident and am grateful that fate has intervened!

5th annual: Are shoes the cause of pelvic prolapse and dysfunction?

Forum:

Hi everyone,

The purpose of this yearly post is to stimulate interest and discussion about the biomechanical effects of shoes on "age-related" degenerative conditions, such as prolapse.

Chiropodist Dr. Simon J. Wikler pioneered efforts to understand the influences of shoes in the 1950's, but his work was neglected during the subsequent drug- and diet-based approaches to medicine. However, the prolific footwear historian and podiatrist Dr. William A. Rossi clearly demonstrated throughout his publications that shoes influence the posture of the human body. Therefore, using the posture-based approaches to medicine of the distinguished orthopedist Dr. Joel E. Goldthwait, I have expanded Dr. Wikler's insightful work to include a variety of illnesses and conditions whose causes remain unknown.

You may find my thesis regarding shoes and disease on the Internet at: http://www.shoebusters.com
Thank you very much for considering my novel approach.

Why do I hate my belly?

Hi All

What is it about a woman and her belly? Why do most of us have to battle to let go of our lower belly and let it assume its natural shape?

It is perhaps the most sacred part of a woman, expanding on demand to accommodate the fruit of our joining with a man. The space where our pelvic organs are tucked away safely. The root of our femaleness and our pleasure. The place where life-giving nutrients are extracted from our food to keep our body working and in good repair. The softest pillow to lay a head.

How to get through to husbands

My husband just doesn't seem to get it no matter what I say. I have told him I have prolapse but he disagrees as the doctor and gyno told me I don't and he always takes the doctors word for it.

What do you do if you aren't having any success?

Okay, so the reality is, it's been 4 months since I got the prolapse. I had been managing the cystocele okay, except for the past 3 weeks it has been all the way down at the bottom, as bad as it ever was, without any signs of moving, and I now also have a rectocele that has emerged over the last couple months, and is now at the point where I mostly can't poo without splinting. I"m really disappointed, as I've been really trying to use the posture and take things easy.
I was also trying Maya massage.]
