Asking for your prayers

My dh, who I adore!, and I have been engaged in an ongoing discussion about whether to try to have more children. We have three lovely ones, ages 9, almost 6 and 2.5. As some of you know, I had a miscarriage last year. I have been pouring out my heart's desire to have another, and he feels overwhelmed with life (a career transition) and the 3 we have. The issues of my pop is also there. We're at a stalemate, but we're talking to a counselor, and are now in the middle of a 9 day prayer novena to seek guidance about what's best for our family.

Mooncup/Diva Cup

Hello ladies,

Due to my level of discomfort I have been thinking of pessaries and alternatives recently. My concern is that I have read that pessaries can cause some ladies worsening cystoceles or rectoceles or that over time you can need bigger and bigger pessaires due to things stretching. However I was wondering if the Mooncup would do the same thing. As it is used as a menstral cup and only comes in 2 sizes it seems that it wouldn't cause any stretching. I have to say it does not look that comfortable and wonder if you can feel it when it is in?

vaginal muscles

Hi ladies,
I was hoping some of you might have some advice on how to strenghthen the vaginal muscles. I know they are weak and I'm afraid it will get worse over time. I finally got my husband to admit it isn't as tight down there. He didn't want to hurt my feelings, but not telling me hurts more. Has anyone had PT? And does it help. Thanks for your advice.
Patty

Favour to ask.....

Many people have posted that their rectocele is not symptomatic because of the way they eat etc. I have been seeing a lot of talk about what we eat lately. I was wondering if anyone would anyone be willing to post a sample day of what you eat to share with those of us that are still struggling to find the right combination of foods etc. to help?

Points to Ponder

Hi all,

Just wanted to point out a few things that have had me thinking the last several months.

1. I've noticed, Alemama, Granolamom, AnneH, and a few others have posted on how much better they feel after chiropractic treatment, that the prolapses feel up. Mine usually does.

2. The Maya massage seems to work on a few who try it. I've been doing that since Dec. 1 and notice the golf ball stays inside and my lips are sealed!

Women speak up on midwife supported birth

I just wanted to let you ladies know that I had a very positive experience today. My midwife organised a day talking to our local newspaper about women who opt to midwife-led care, in particular home birth.

It was a huge turn out and it was really great to hear other women's stories on how positive their home birth experiences were, and to show how the hospital system makes it harder for women birthing, not easier.

bowl habits.....and food

I know there is always talk of constipation here- I have never had this challenge- but I would like to report something interesting that happened to me.....interesting if you think talking about $hi% is interesting-lol

What do you think of Relaxo-bak?

I purchased it from a massage therapist earlier this year, and was just curious what the general wisdom here was about this product.

Here it is:

exercise

I felt like we should start a thread of it's own to talk about who does what......

I'll go first.

I generally exercise for 100 minutes 3 days a week doing Bikram yoga. then i walk at least 3 days a week for an hour or so. I do the ballet routine once or sometimes twice a week.
I run for fun. So no more than 100 meters at a time and just to chase my kids or act silly.

However I recently jogged a couple of miles (3) with no noticeable increase in POP. I did feel it when I was running and after it was low- but the next morning I was back to normal.

well, the good news is...

the good news is that I know my body.
got my period today, so I guess I *was* ovulating. I was hoping to hold it off a bit longer with the bf but oh well
at least I know why the 'cele was more prominent. and why I was soooo cranky yesterday.
