Pregnancy Update

Hi, I just wanted to touch base on how my pregnancy is going. I am now at 13 weeks, so nearly through the first trimester. My prolapse is a little lower than before but the uterus seems to have moved back up a bit in the last week (which I understand it does at around 12 weeks.)

Everything's going well. I got the prenatal cradle (V2 supporter) and I wish I'd known about how great it is after my first baby. I've been able to continue exercising and going on walks with no discomfort at all. It's been just wonderful.

Pregnant and scared

Hi There,

I had my baby boy in August 2004, weighing 10lb 0.5oz - vaginal labour 17 hours.

I never thought anything might be wrong with me until we started trying to conceive another when he was 6 months old (Jan/Feb 2005). We eventually got referred to the fertility clinic in November last year to start investigations as to what was wrong, and had blood tests/sperm analyses, hormone levels etc and everything came back clear.

Hi All,

Get well Christine

Hey Christine, you have been very quiet the last few days. I hope you are starting to feel a little better. There are some nasty viruses out there at the moment. Take your time to heal, and hope we will see you online again soon.

Cheers

New rectocele

Okay, so I have been doing the posture for about 2 months now, ever since I discovered cystocele. THe problem is during this time, I have been slowly developing an ever-growing rectocele, which I did not have at all when I started. How do I make it stop? Any thoughts? Also, any abdominal isolations or firebreathing that seem to help the cystocele, also seem to make the rectocele worse. Or maybe it's just getting worse on it's own? I'm so disheartened.

I think I have solved it!

I think I have finally found something that works for the constipation. I have been taking 2 flaxseed oil capsules and 2 psyllium husk capsules before bed and everday since doing that I have gone without any problems at all!

I hope it continues as that will be one thing I can stop stressing about.

Law enforcement and uterine prolapse

I am 28 y/o and have recently been diagnosed with a "large cystocele with mild uterine prolapse" So far I have minimal urine leakage, but a noticable "bulge" protruding from my groin when I stand on active days. I gave birth to my second child in May (the oldest child is almost 4). Neither vaginal delivery was "traumatic." In fact, my last delivery was a walk in the park. My first delivery (Jan 2004) did have a retained placenta that was removed by D & C though.

Exercise suggestions

I am four and a half months postpartum. I have a cystocele and a mild uterine prolapse. I'd like to start doing some kind of exercise, but I'm afraid it'll make my condition worse. Could anyone PLEASE suggest an activity which doesn't worsen the condition or that it might even help to reverse it? Pilates? Swimming? BTW, I'm writing from Spain where info about POP is non-existant. Thank u so much 4 being there!

anterior rectocele and enterocele

I am suffering from an anterior rectocele and enterocele. Last January I had a rectocele and they removed 13" of my bowel. Since then I have had a recurrence. I am going to see a specialist in December. He is going to be doing a surgery called a prolift.
If there is anyone out there who is familiar with this surgery, I would appreciate hearing back.

Thanks

New here..but not to the pain

Hi, my names Katrina..

I have a beautiful 4 month old baby boy born july 5th, and had a very hard labor....slow dilating (over 21hours) 2 1/2 hours of pushing..having my doctors threaten c-section and vacuum use (i got him out on my own though!) no episiotomy, but i did tear some.
I've always had rectal problems...lots of bleeding. I havehad a chronic anal fissure for 5 years.
3 weeks post partum I strained and tore myself to the muscle. All you can do is eat tons of fiber and drink lots of fluid (oh and i lived for colace!)
