howdidthishappen

Hello, I have just been reading through some of your old posts and wondered how you were doing. Your last post was regarding your cystocele feeling worse and you were panicking. Have you gotten it back to baseline and are you feeling better?

I love hearing stories from others who are just as panicky as me and then turning things around for the better once again and just wanted to know how you were getting on.

Hope you don't think I am nosey!

Miralax?

Does anyone have any experience with miralas for constipation? I know they made it OTC, but I am really really against using any form of a laxative. I have no issues with stool softeners since they aren't addictive, but I fear using any form of a laxative, and my body then needing something like that to go.

i'm a big Colace fan, but my gosh, it's i believe $15 a bottle, for 30 pills, and sometimes I take 2 a day.

I've tried Metamucil, but honestly, it just doesn't help me at all. And I have to eat a ton of those wafers, or drink that nasty stuff.

A newbie with a question on the Posture, and on barefoot walking

Hi everyone,

I am excited to join your community after reading about it on Mothering.com - I had no idea there were viable approaches to prolapse that didn't involve surgery. I have just ordered Christine's book and have been poring over this website and forum as much as I could over the past couple of days.

Kit

Hello dearest Kit, I wanted to ask you about the Aloe Vera Capsules you take for helping with UTI's. This bladder irritation is driving me nuts and I cannot believe this is POP related as nobody seems to complain of it with cystocele. I am beginning to think I may have another UTI setting in - my urine stream was pathetic yesterday and this morning.

Tenderness

I was just wondering if anyone else felt like this. My bladder is oh so irritable at the moment (must drink more!) and when I touch the front wall (or saggy skin) of my va-j-j it hurts. The whole area has become incredibly tender to the touch in fact when touching the back wall it has the same sensitivity (actually I would say the whole of it inside). I wonder if this is prolapse related or whether I have something else going on here. I can't imagine having sex with such tenderness. I must admit when the nurse did my smear the other week I winced with discomfort.

My grief is an onion.

I've decided ( with the help of a Rescue Remedy lozenge) that I Need Grief counseling.
With no money . One of the hardest parts of ALL this has been asking for help and feeling
dependent( by necessity not choice ! ) I am finally getting some decent health care now that I'm
at the bottom of the income chart - me 'n the Homeless... go to a clinic with a sliding scale.
I am beginning to imagine they might have something for crisis counseling - as long as it's
not displacing someone who really needs it ... as I AM getting by, in a flatlinish way.

Warm sensations

Hi, has anyone, particularly anyone who has reached menopause, had sort of hot flushes in the vaginal area? I've been getting them lately and I wondered what caused them. I expect it is hormonal because I have been going through menopause for the last 3 years or so (it's been slow). It feels like your face does when you blush, except it's down there and there doesn't seem to be anything particular that sets it off.

Relaxation / healing / meditation

I've been thinking a lot about finding relaxation amongst the worries of prolapse, especially in light of some of the threads going on. i am very prone to anxiety, so know how bad it can get with this. i also know how it affects me, and really think it affects the healing process. i have found things like homeopathy good for my anxiety, and reiki really calms me through every inch of my body. but i haven't yet managed to let go of thinking about this far too much, and really want to get to a place of being able to relax and let go of the worries.

What do other women mean when they say their prolapse 'goes away' - how does it do this ? ( bit confused )

Hi

I have noticed in some of the forums women saying that their prolapse have 'gone away' at certain times, or over a certain time period. I am a bit confused about this - does this mean that the symptoms have gone away, or does it mean if they check internally they can feel the prolapse has gone ?. If they check internally and the prolapse has gone, then how does this physically happen ? What pulls the prolapse back up and into posistion ?. Is it from increased muscle strength from excercise ?
