Bladder Pressure

Hello,

I am just wondering if there is any one particular exercise that would help alleviate my symptoms that I should concentrate on. I have a uterine prolapse and although I have a padding of soft tissue at the front I have nothing hanging or bulging down so do not know if this is a small cystocele but my urethra seems bulgier than it used to. I also have some bulging at the back only during a BM and then it goes back so again this could be a small rectocycle but I am not sure if there is supposed to be some movement back there during a BM anyway.

Question about Prolapse

Ok, I received Christine's book and have skimmed it (sorry, I have 2 preschoolers and 1 baby that is not sleeping...I'm buying time to write this email). Anyway, I'm 4 weeks postpartum now. I have mild cystocele. I am OBSESSED with the mirror. Sometimes I can see the bulge (I can feel it as well usually after I have been on my feet for a while) other times I can't see it at all. My question to you is this: Is this just something that never goes away? If I stand on my feet all day (even in the posture) will I be able to feel it?

Bladder woes

I had a really "managed" labour and birth with my first child 25 years ago. I was given an epidural which was badly done and I ended up with an agonising and prolonged headache after the birth. But the worst thing was that my bladder was left to fill up and fill up for hours and hours during the labour and because everything was numb down there I could feel that I wanted to go pee. None of the nursing staff bothered to catheter me to relieve me and it wasn't until the delivery that I was cathetered. Afterwards my bladder felt terrible and I had to tap my abdomen in order to pee.

Recovery After rectocele

I wanted to respond to some of the articles and comments I've read on your site about women with prolapse experience and their after surgery experience. I had surgery 2 weeks ago and I feel fine and like I can do almost anything but I know I have to take it easy like the doctor said, so I can heal well. I was reading some of the comments and articles on your site from different woman and they almost scared me and had me feeling very negative and concern about my surgery but that changed because I feel better than before the surgery and my prolapse wasn't as severe as some woman.

red lentil soup

we had some good soup tonight, thought I'd share

sautee 1 onion, 2 carrots, 1 stalk celery in some olive oil
add some chopped tomatoes and 1 cup red lentils
5 cups water
salt and cayenne pepper
bring to boil then simmer 30 min
I pureed some of it.

quick & easy & delicious.

Could it be ...

... psychological?

flax / linseed grinder

Hi wonderful women

I gather from earlier posts that a coffee grinder is the go for grinding flax seed. I saw a German friend of mine last night. She has an old Moulinex coffee grinder that she uses for grinding poppyseed, but she buys her coffee ground. However we are a family of coffee nuts and I am loathe to contaminate our wind-the-handle coffee grinder that we use to grind fresh beans for every cup.

Is 'peeking' as bad as it gets?

Hi wonderful women

Hey, I was posting under a different topic this morning and it occurred to me that my doctor told me just last week that 'it would all just fall out eventually'. I told her that I begged to differ but ...

Just wondering, among all of us who have had no surgery and who see this topic, what is the worst it gets? Lots of women post about having times when their cervix is peeking out of the vulva, and some speak of a cystocele that is just outside the vulva. Has it ever been worse than this for any of you? Please tell, and compare it to how you are at your best.

question for those with constipation

I know it's kinda gross but this question is for anyone else who has severe constipation associated with thier prolapse or anyone who knows....

Are you or have you experienced an excess of mucusy type discharge instead of a BM?

once again.... no exam

so I had my first Appt over here in Italy today and my primary dr. after listening to my symptoms and reading my history decided it was a waste of his time and mine to even do an exam (even though I was there for 2 hours)... so he just refered me on to a gyn... so it's now time for the waiting game... the Gyn Clinic recieves the referal looks over my history and decides which Gyn would best suit my needs then calls me to schedule the appt... he marked my case as a "moderate/high severity" issue so I was told I should here from someone by the end of this week
