New posture illustration

Hi All,

We have a new illustration of the posture, which is located in #12 of the FAQ section. I'm hoping it will be helpful!

Off topic - cervical cancer enquiry

Hi Christine,

i noticed that you wrote the comments below and wondered if you could direct me to where that research could be found for a very close friend of mine with cervical dysplasia,(if you get a chance).

Best Wishes

Anne-helen

"Given that the latest research into cervical cancer is looking at T-cell response rather than the virus that causes the disease, it?s really worth considering the importance of supporting our immune system above all else. It?s a fallacy that any researcher, pharmaceutical company, or doctor knows with any precision whatsoever how our endocrine system fully works. For every known effect there are a thousand distant reverberations."

Poem I wrote about being a mom and a woman.....

We are women
Working hard every day

Doing all of the giving
Helping others along the way

Despite the problems that come from inside
We never have time to complain

With our family we must guide
Trying hard to hide our own pain

Our bodies are such a mess
But on we must go

Doing what we feel is best
And always shining from that womanly glow

What would they do without us?
What would others do?

Making such a fuss,
I guess it takes a mother to make that special glue.

Mending a bruised knee
Or perhaps you're sicker then a bug

Where would you be,
If a mother didn't give you her very own special hug?

Pessary use causing problem for urethra

I tried to use a sponge as a pessary, and although it made my pelvic diaphragm feel a bit better, I really traumatized my urethra. It was bad but getting better now. Has anyone else had this happen? I am very reluctant to go to Dr. to have one fitted if this is what happened to me at home. Thanks for all of your thoughts - it's encouraging to get on this site and read of empowerment.

Bleeding

Hello everyone!

I am about eight weeks postpartum and have a cystocele. I was wondering if anyone has had any irregular bleeding while having this? I know it's not my period because I had that about two weeks ago. Is this normal? Should I be alarmed? Thanks!!!

=)

Where can I order the DVD?
Book is already in the mail...
thanks,

thank you and a questiona bout future pregnancies

Hi and thanks so much for all of you who welcomed me (in the other forum). I think I'll be a regular writer here... And please excuse me my mistakes in English, it is my second language!
I can feel how my wishes for any sort of "quick fix" have gone by-by, and now I'm starting to realize that I am in a new, life long path on studying and mantaining my own health. It definately feels challenging, but easier while knowing that I am not alone. What a blessing this internet is!

But I have a question. I was wondering if there is anyone who has had a baby AFTER having diagnosed with pelvic floor prolapse?? And speacially with prolapse of all the three (uterus, rectum and bladder)????

How to talk to my daughter

Any suggestions on how to talk to my 17 year old daughter about the posture etc. I really don't want to scare her, but I am worried after reading about all these young people who have prolapse. We are going to get her a membership in the gym for the summer, but now I am worried that she do some damage with exercises since I think the instructors don't have this training on women's structure. They do all have training, but of course it is the classical training. I am a worrywart, so I have to be careful not to put my worries on her. She knows about my prolapse but I don't think she is thinking at all about her posture. I tell her to sit up, but she slouches a lot when I don't mention it. I don't think she would even consider putting her belly over her pubic bone. She does crunches in dance class. Has anyone else spoken to their teenage daughter about this?

Just stopped by to say hi

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't written back in a few days. I have been trying to keep myself busy so I won't be worrying as much. Of course I found out what was wrong with me, and why I do worry alot, I have post partum depression but I refuse to be on meds. I do however want to be myself again so I am thinking about just exercising and trying to beat this depression thing with the use of exercise. I also don't want to screw up my pelvic floor prolapse( 2nd degree) and I hear that exercising can actually make it worse. Does anyone know of anyone exercising that I can do that will not only help me feel good but that will also make this pelvic thing more easier to live with? I don't agree with the a doctors theory " When in doubt, yank it out" I want to keep it all inside of me but not falling out:))))))))) One more thing, you guys are so awesome!! I think I am going to stay in this group and hang out for a while!!

WHHHHAAAAATTTTTT?

I'm 31, never had any children, ride, break, and train horses, and do Pilates and other stretches using the Pilates methods. I have always been very active, the "he- woman" type- able to lift anything and do anything. Extraordinary stamina, pain tolerance, etc. I've hiked, backpacked, track, volleyball, softball, weight lifting- the list goes on. I've never ever been a healthy eater- all I want is chocolate, and I've never been much for drinking water either. Then I turned 30 ... and since then I have been dealing with some strange things happening to my body.

First my organs felt like they were all turning to rock- naturalist told me it was a wheat/gluten allergy- so quit eating anything with those in it. And no more processed dairy- has to be all organic- same with sugar/chocolate. Okay- so I've been working on that dietary change constantly, with lots of falling off the wagon in between. Then a lump developed in my breast that comes and goes with my periods- started progesterone therapy to help with that. NOW- in the last several months, especially when my period is coming due- I can't pee, my rectum has sharp pains, and my husband is hitting something inside of me when we have sex. Plus both ligaments or whatever they are on either side of my hip bones (inside) hurt with sharp pains too.
