Can I get help without buying the book?

I was just diagnosed with a grade 3 cystocele. I'm going to be undergoing some tests in early July to see how bad everything is. I have had this problem for many years. It finally got so painful I needed some answers. It doesn't help that I'm a very busy hairdresser, but you do what you have to do. Anyway, is there no other way to get help learning these excersizes without buying this book. Call me crazy, but if I have a tip or an FYI you can rest assured that I will share them with anyone who sits in my chair! Can anyone help with this one?

God bless,
Debb

"Diet for the Whole Woman" by Christine Kent

I ordered this book recently and have been going through it and figuring out what I need to buy. I FINALLY was able to fix one of Christine's supper menu's tonight. It was a HUGE HIT!!! We have 9 people in our family and everyone liked everything on it and it was simple to make. The whole book was a lot of wonderful information, most of it I have heard before, so it was a nice refresher course for me. I'm anxious to start trying her way of cooking though and if all the foods are as good as what we had tonight, I can't wait to try them! Thanks Christine!

I would encourage those of you who are looking for a good way to eat to buy her book. This will also help support her in the work she is doing. : )

okay, health wise, for my cervix to hang down like that?!?!

i was on another women's website/eloop type thingy and they were talking about cervical cancer and i just wondered, is it OK (?) for my cervix to hang down like this? it protrudes a few days out of my month (menstration and ovluation times). i have learned to live with it. i wear a bulky pad everyday now, for about a year (i am 43) and that seems to make me feel more secure. i tried the sponge thingy and it hurt. i was recently also diagnosed with parasites and worms (via a stool sample and saliva test) and i am wondering if i can get worms/parasites up in my uterus because of my cervix being so low? just curious if there are any medical peopole out there. i still have not seen a dr. for my condition, which suddenly appeared about three years ago, when i started suddently doin 50 sit ups a night before bed! smile. i have lost about 15 pounds since then on a low carb/high protein healthy diet and feel much better but there are still those few days a month where i move slow (my kids say like an old lady! i can't tell them why!?!?)but other days i am way better. still not running fast or anytng. i walk about 30 min a day. let me know about these health concerns. i have NO PAIN down there at all.

Squatting for toileting

Has anybody seen the website naturesplatform.com and the discussion regarding squatting for toileting? I've stopped sitting on the toilet (just half-squatting over it) because I intuitively felt it might help; then someone told me about naturesplatform.

I wonder if a full squat would actually be bad for the prolapse?

Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?

I recall a discussion not too long ago on this topic, but couldn't find it.

From Bay Area?

I saw some old posts and there was at least a couple of women from Bay Area thinking of getting together and starting some sort of a support group. I wonder if you started anything yet? I live an hour and half south from SF and I would love to get together sometime. I feel like talking and sharing ideas with somebody would make a great difference. (Of course I would love to travel to New Mexico for some classes, but at this moment that isn't reality...)

I hope to hear form you!

getting a second opinion

Hi...I am new here....my name is Pam...I am 47 yrs old....had my tubes tied 12 yrs ago....this past Tuesday...I went into the ER...I could feel this tissue at my opening down there....the Er DR said that it was my uterus that had fallen...and told me to go see my ob/gyn....I did.... ( 5 hrs later )....I am NOT happy with her...she has only been practicing medicine for 6 yrs....she told me that it was my bladder...NOT a prolapse...and to do kegel exercizes !!...she basically rushed me out the door...she said that if I wasn't leaking urine...if it didn't hurt...or wasn't bleeding...to just go on

ANYBODY KNOWS about yoga and chiropractice??

Hi everyone there,
thank you all for the support and love that is shared in this forum! We are making this world a better place, I believe.

I have couple of questions. I've had "the universal prolapse" (all three) almost a year now (since the birth of my second child) and I have resently wondered about few things.

First, I used to do yoga on daily basis for couple of years and I've tried to resume my poractice since my son's birth but... as long as I've done really easy practice without any strength building (standing) postures, I've been doing okay. But I really would LIKE to strenghten my stamina and I love the standing postures (warriour postures etc), but somehow I have a feeling that they aren't good for my prolapse. Few times I've done my practice for a period of 2-3 weeks and then I would feel more sensations while walking etc. But as you know, my sister, it is hard for one to know why, excatly, it feels more one day not the other, but I have my doubts about yoga... I have tried to read about this from anumber of books, magazines and online, but the thing is that often the sources state which postures are GOOD for prolapse but NONE says which are bad for it! And I am sure that there is tons of postures that aren't healthy for us. Does anyone know anything more precice about this??? Or even any resource for me to try to find more info??

active lifestyle

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the crowd, but relieved to know I'm not alone with the prolapse problem. Like most of you, I got little encouragement from my doctor (female believe it or not!), told it was a "nuisance" and that nothing but surgery would help. Obviously, I didn't like that response and I found this website. I have Christine's video and has started the exercises and posture with some noticeable improvement. I very much enjoy running and cycling. I haven't really tried running yet (not quite 3 weeks since my diagnosis) other than a jog across the street or for a block. I want to wait until I have a few weeks of the exercise routine under my belt until I try a real run. However, my question is what about cycling? What, if any, are the risks? I don't want to relapse, but wondering what other womens' experiences are and is this a possibility in the future?
