unscrupulous doctor!

This article just showed up in my mailbox. Of course there is no place for commentary, or man would I give Dr. Nancy Salisbury a piece of my mind. She is advertising transvaginal mesh and other highly destructive surgeries to postpartum mothers as first line treatment and should rounded up and run out of town!

Trauma at the Doctor's Office

I have been a member of this site for a couple of years. I have just received another dvd for prolapse. I have been trying to stay in posture. Takes a bit of "remembering". I was diagnosed with a rectocele a couple of years ago. Finally made it back to my GP for a pap. She said it had gotten worse , couldn't find my cervix so proceeded with the pap which was extremely painful for me as I have Lichen Sclerosis. I have some damage from that which makes things like a pap painful. She tore me in the process. She also put my cervix back in place.

Egoskue with Whole Woman?

Forum:

Hello!

Q #1) Has anyone tried, or does anyone know if Egoskue could help in training our bodies/muscles to keep the WW posture? I try my best to consciously keep the WW posture throughout the day, but if I'm not focused on it, or have a really busy/distracting day, I do find myself slipping.

Safe yoga positions

Forum:

As a new user of the WW Solution to Pelvic a Organ Prolapse, I see there are a lot of other yoga dvd's available. As I have developed my own home practice and am incorporating the breathing and poses of the video I purchased...can anyone help me with the following questions? Are the warrior positions safe for prolapse? What about the downward dog and legs up the wall inverted position? I read online somewhere that the wide leg forward bend was not a safe position, or any other positions that create stress on the pelvic floor like leg lifts or stomach crunches. Anyone?

Horrible Pressure in Vagina after Sex while Pregnant

Hello all, I will try to make this short...and maybe some of yall can make it sweeter by helping me understand what may be going on.

Wearing an SI belt

The video mentions wearing an SI belt. Can someone elaborate on this? I saw Christine has mentioned somewhere on this forum that she wrote a blog post about it, but I can't find it. What kind of belt is best for vaginal prolapse and what type? Doesn't it push your stomach in, which I thought wasn't a good thing?

I'm new here with lots of questions!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this website! I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum for my questions so please let me know if I should post elsewhere. My questions are more about urinary stress incontinence. I don't think I have a prolapse, but I made an appt with my OBGYN this week to check.

Pessary Newie

I am a "Pessary Newbie" and was so relieved when I read I was not alone in this. I am 55 and had never heard the word Pessary until diagnosed with a vaginal prolapse and rectocele by my gyn. All the other articles state that once in place you should not feel your pessary. My gyn prescribed a Ring pessary. At first I didn't feel any pain or discomfort, but as the day went on it felt like I had a dinner plate shoved in my vagina. I took it out and cried. I seriously thought about giving it to my chihuahua to chew on.
