exercise DVD

I have been trying to use the DVD but without any prior knowledge of ballet techniques and/or dance I find it very slow moving on my part. I feel like a need for a separate DVD for us beginners who are very uncoordinated and very weak. I did go to the end of the DVD where the movements are explained but again I need to see and practice a move numerous times- the DVD goes on to the next move before I am ready. I feel like I need to master the different ballet movements and do numerous repetitions to develop the strength in the muscles I need and then proceed to the movements in the DVD.

Strong pelvic floor muscles

Hi Everyone

I've been thinking again about pelvic floor muscles and how important it is for them to be strong. Strong is good, right?

I am not so sure. I think active and responsive is good, but strong?

I'm new and this is my story

My name's Maxine Peachey, I'm from London U.K.
My bladder prolapsed about 10 months ago. I am 45 and not yet menopausal. I've never had a pregnancy, I am atheletic and run 5 days a week and have never been over weight, I've never suffered from constipation and have been a vegetarian for 25 years and have a very healthy diet. So I don't fit the prolapse profile.

Cystocele post hysterectomy

Hi Everyone! So glad to have found this site, and thanks so much to Christine for her innovating work . . .

A diagnosis

Okay, this is not connected to prolapse, but I had mentioned a while ago that I was struggling with thyroid issues. After a year-and-a-half of waiting for my thryoid levels to go down, I finally had the radioactive idodine uptake test and based on that and an antibody test I have been officially diagnosed with Graves disease. Fortuantely I have found a doctor that is supporting me in a nontraditional route of treatment.

Village Post articles

Hello everyone,

The Whole Woman team are working like busy bees to create content for all our new video sites in the Village. Also opening up our herb shop, Seedcraft, in both our virtual and real villages. We will have a steady supply of red clover tea and tincture!

The one thing I am finding it really hard to find time for is the Village Post. Very soon we will have a more formal way to solicit outside writers, but for now if anyone is interested in submitting an article or other creative work it would be most appreciated!

eye infection :(

Hi All,

Pilates and Prolapse

I love Pilates and have been doing it for years. After reading some articles I am told this is making my prolapse worse. Please help?

Red Clover Tea

Hello Christine:
I read with interest your post on 4/17/10 where you talked about your uterus shrinking from what you thought was due to drinking Red Clover tea twice a day for the past several months. That is very intriguing to me as it would seem if you can shrink the uterus that the other pelvic organs would have room to move up a bit. I appreciate so much your candid responses to my comments in the previous posts.

A Good Doctor

I've been told, like so many of you, that with a Grade III Cystocele and a Grade II Prolapsed Uterus that I should have a hysterectomy. I was shocked. I have no pain and only feel the bulge from the cystocele nearer the end of the day. How do I find a "woman friendly" doctor that I can trust? I have been doing Christine's exercises and think it may be helping.
