5 months post partum

So I'm now 20 weeks post partum, and will give a little update.

Whew.
Deep breath.
I almost don't want to write this because of the jinx factor (turns in a circle three times, hops on one leg, salt over the shoulder, a few Hail Marys . . .)

Man I just discovered these- does anyone else eat them? crazy

adult whooping cough

Well, the pediatric urgent care doctor was right that whooping cough is still a problem in the US. However, she did not mention that it is rampant in the adult population with about a million men and women coming down with the brutal infection every year. Pertussis vaccine lasts about ten years.

Shoes

I came across an ad for some shoes called MBI or Masai Barefoot Technology. The Masai are a semi-nomadic tribe from East Africa known for having excellent posture and almost never experiencing joint or back pain. The Masai have apparently adapted their bodies by walking barefoot on the soft, sandy Mara plain, developing natural shock absorbers that protect their back, knee and hip joints. This shoe is supposed to emulate that by relieving stress on joints, exercising muscles and strenghtening the entire musculo-skeletal system.

DVD thoughts

HI Christine,
SOrry--can't find the topic you originally started this on!
But now that I've watched the DVD & done the exercise more I wanted to share my thoughts
I have to say it's fabulous! Very clear, and really helped me to understand all of this even more.
The exercises are great. I wish I could do it every day, which I can't, but I'm trying to build bits of it in as I feel so great when I do do them. After doing the workout my next day is a "what prolapse" kind of day!
So all positive!!! and thank you ;-)

hayfever

okay so this may seem completely off topic but actually it's not...

i get horrible hayfever which is setting in. I hate taking antihistamines so am always looking for natural remedies, but have as yet to find anything particularly good. homeopathy has never really made a huge difference in this case, and the wax and powders that go in / around the nasal area don't really do that much either.
any other ideas?
all this sneezing and nose blowing isn't great for my anatomy, even if i bend forward etc...
so any thoughts are welcomed!!!

thank you
kiki

Prolapse pain

Hi all-
I'm wondering if pain is just part of this? I can't imagine living with the kind of pain I've been having for another 40 years. I have jabbing and stabbing pain in the left groin and vulva, somewhat better in the morning, but takes my breath away sometimes. I'm a few days before my period and wondering if that's a contributing factor? Also wonder what to expect with my period and my new prolapse. I can feel the cervix is farther down with my heavy uterus, and a little worried about what's to come.
Any tips or comments are appreciated - CL

My process so far in dealing with my prolapse situation

It's been almost two months now since I became very aware of something different. I noticed this situation after I became much more relaxed in my life after ending relating to a rather stressful man. I had noticed some things, yet, only when I started relaxing more did my (turns out to be cervix), start showing itself. And, feeling so strange. I've been in the natural health industry for 20+ years and shared with a friend. She suggested I get on maca root and all would be better in a week. It may have helped some, but not solve completely.

postpartum progress

I'm at 2 months postpartum, after discovering my prolapsed uterus and bladder at 2.5 weeks out. I thought I'd talk a little bit about how things have been going, just as a point of reference for the next panicked and sleep-deprived newbie.
