Rectocele - and worsening

My rectocle problelms started nearly 5-7 yrs ago when I was in my late 40's. But this last year it has become far worse. My main problem is that I can't go when I have the immediate urge to go #2. The urge is so great, but it won't start out of me. It nearly kills me to go before I can make it come out. This has now become a daily morning event. When I finally get my poop to find its way out, it usualy just rips out of me...lots of it and I'm done. But the ripping out of me and the difficulty in getting the poop to first start to poo is extreme discomfort.

dr. says no prolapse

hey ladies- Well I went in for my six week checkup a few weeks ago and my doctor said that the opening of my vagina is just bigger and there is no prolapse and that I am healing really well. I wish I could believe her!

Menopausal cervix

Hi All

Hey, I just discovered something weird. My 56 year old cervix has just changed shape. It used to be kind of soft and squishy, and quite big with a little donut hole in the middle. Since it has been riding higher in my vagina I haven't noticed it much. I just noticed last night that it is now harder, smaller and quite conical. I cannot find any evidence of the little donut hole any more.

You know how the books talk about your cervix feeling like the end of your nose? Well, I think mine just turned into the end of Michael Jackson's nose!

Change re;PT attitude?

Problems with exercise after anterior/posterior vaginal repair

I had an anterior/posterior vaginal repair in Dec. 2008. I had a cystocele, uterine prolapse and rectocele that I've suffered with for over 2 years. I kept my uterus and both ovaries. After the surgery, my symptoms (urinary frequency, heaviness in the pelvic area) were completely gone, and I felt great.

In Jan. 2009. I had a ant. mesh repair because the Dr. said that some of it was exposed. He 'touched' it up in a 1 hr. procedrue.

Protruding Urethra

Hi all-
I'm new here, have been reading posts since I had a prolapse 'event' 4 days ago. I can feel a rectocele, cystocele, and most painfully a urethrocele. It's protruding and very uncomfortable, and I wonder if anyone has found something that helps.

Hey Louise - I Jiggled

Well, I gave it a try. It has worked great for me twice. It took a bit of jiggling to get that vacuum feeling, but once I did I understood what you were talking about. I am going to keep at it. I also finally can order my DVD so I am hoping that will help as well. Thanks for the advice!

Mellie

we had our baby this morning

He is so amazing- the birth was crazy- and I am beat- so I will try to get back here tomorrow to share my prolapse perspective. Just wanted you gals to know he's here and we are all healthy.

Vaccinations

My goodness! I was so sorry to log on and hear about all the illness going on. Christine, I hope you're doing better today and you get completely over all this. It sounds awful and I know it must be getting you down. I'm sure it will be better soon.

Amanda, I hope your little one is doing better by now. Nothing more upsetting than a sick baby!

Well, I'm looking to you wonderful ladies once again for advice I can pass on to my dd.
