Hi, anyone got any tips of how to stay in the posture when feeding? does it matter if you are on a low chair, with knees higher than pelvis or is this bad???

Another cause for severe pelvic pain

Hi All

I just found a cause of severe pelvic pain that I didn't know about. Thought I would share it.

After pelvic repair surgery, or obstetric surgery like episiotomy, a neuroma can form in the fascia in the rectovaginal septum. A neuroma is a kind of knot of nerve tissue that can form when a nerve is cut. It can produce a lot of pain with any pressure. A surgeon can excise the neuroma which supposedly puts an end to the pain. You can find the article I was reading by googling "severe vaginal pain caused by a neuroma".

Getting things right with the posture/ fire breathing

Have been doing posture for a few days and feel a bit lightheaded/faint - I reckon this could be a good thing, as blood may be releasing from previously tense muscles, my shoulders feel fantastic. I believe feeling this way is a common response to the Alexander Technique, which also works on posture. I'm guessing this means I am doing something right.

Does anyone have any tips on directing the outbreath with the posture? I breathe in and then up to extend lower abdomen then lengthen up to my chest but what about the out breath?

Water, how much?

With all of the problems I've been having, I was wondering if it's just that I'm not getting enough water. How much is enough? I hate having to pee everywhere I go as soon as I get there. But, maybe that's the problem. What is a good amount? Especially with all the extra fiber.

Spotting

I am 54 and had a period for the first time in 9 months end of last week. Very mild flow, lasted about 5 days. Yesterday I wore a tampon for several hours to try to hold up the cystocele and when I took it out there was a small amount of mucus and blood on it. Now I am wiping a small amount of pinkish mucus today. It felt uncomfortable when I was wearing the tampon, so I am unsure if I irriated the vagina or if this is infection or if it is still just drainage from my period last week.

pregnancy update...3rd trimester

Hey you guys- I know I have probably talked about my prolapse here and there over the last few months but I thought I might do one more official update.

Diversity

I have been meaning to post this for a while but haven't been able to decide exactly how to say it or under which forum topic to post it, so moderators feel free to move it if appropriate. The women who come to this site do so from so many different perspectives we are a diverse bunch who have so much to learn from each other. Personally I am someone who picks and chooses from mainstream medical practices and from more wholistic, traditional practices. For example I was 100% committed to a unmedicated birth with a midwife but I wanted to be in a hospital.

Am I deluding myself?

Or am I healing? I've not seen my bulge at it's biggest in about 2 weeks. End of day external checks show promising reduction. Internal . . . well, it's hard to tell. However, I'm a bit paranoid that this isn't "true healing." Maybe I'm just getting really good at skirting the issue, doing things during the day that reduce it falsely. (I'm such an inarticulate typer!) What I mean is, maybe I'm only developing strategies that keep the bulge away?

Cord Blood Banking

Has anyone ever done, or have any information about, Cord Blood Banking?

ridge-like tissue

I have a question. I've been getting better about the kind of checking I do to try to reassure myself. But I have been looking a lot just to try to understand exactly what I'm dealing with here, and comparing to the self-exam in the book, etc.
