Rectrocele and my wonderful new treatment

Hi, This is my first post but I am really happy to be able to contact other women with the same problems. My rectrocele was diagnosed some years ago but 18 months ago the symptoms became worse and I had all the discomfort of incomplete emptying etc. My doctor was dismissive saying it was usual for rectrocele to become worse over the years and that I should live with it. In the end i consulted a colorectal surgeon and a gynecologist and was advised by both that surgery was my best option.

Heavy physical work and POP's OK

Hi All

menstrual cup?

anyone here ever use one?
was wondering if, assuming it stays in place, it would be at all detrimental.
thinking not, especially since I wouldn't be wearing it all the time, probably just during the day for a few days/month. but wondering what others think..

Activity level

Ok, ever since I discovered my cystocele, which is considered to be mild or small, I just have not been up and about like I used to. Before I found this, I was on my feet ALL day long, taking care of three kids, nursing one of them who is 6 months, and keeping up with a big house and husband, etc. etc. And, I never seemed to ever get it all done, but, I tried, and I have to say it was an exhilerating life. But now, it's like I'm afraid of the prolapse getting 'bigger' by any sort of lenghty on my feet activity.

Seated posture

Hello. Can any of the nursing mothers tell me how they sit down to nurse and maintain the proper posture? Like is your lower back supposed to be straight, or curved, or what? Do you gently allow the lower abs to fall forward as you sit?

CD

I wanted to recommend a nice CD. It has helped me to feel more relaxed and comfortable with what I am newly dealing with. Also you can feel it's healing power as you listen to it. It's called Chakra Balancing: Body, Mind & Soul - Deepak Chopra - Soul of Healing. It's just really sort of new wave and all but I find it helpful and I feel like my certain areas need to heal right now. According to Chopra Chakra One and Chakra Two are located in the pelvis/genital region, and he has a mediation CD (it's a two pack) that focuses on each Chakra.

Supplements

Hi, has anyone taken L-carnitine?

I'm new

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 10 weeks ago (first baby). Very long labor (she was posterior), but no forceps/vacuum used and only pushed for 20 minutes. I tore in my upper anterior vaginal wall, though, and now have a fairly severe cystocele and a mild uterine prolapse (probably would be worse, but my bladder is holding it up). I'm in pain every day. It's not a sharp or severe pain, but unless I lay in bed all day (which is obviously not an option), my whole vaginal area aches. I'm trying the posture, but haven't noticed an improvement yet.
