does anyone know if its ok to do the workout and particularily the firebreathing if you have a hernia? thanks for any info. Denise

pelvic diaphragm?

when it says in the excercises to lift and pull up my pelvic diaphragm, what exactly is that? is it my stomach muscles or the muscles i would tighten to do a kegel or both? thanks, Denise

Sea Salt Bath Experience

From discussion on Christine’s LS site, I decided to try a sea salt bath.
I used regular sea salt (all I had), 1/3 cup to a full bath tub of water. It
was beyond delightful and felt ever so healing. Even the 1/3 cup of salt
made the water silky soft. I may use a bit more next time. :-)

Did anyone have trouble getting pregnant with a Cystocele?

I had my daughter 4 years ago, we have been trying for baby number 2 for about 2 years now with no luck. We got pregnant right away with my daughter, no problems at all. I was diagnosed with PCOS, but have been on meds to correct my hormonal issues. Despite taking the meds I have still have not gotten pregnant. I discovered my mild cystocele a few months ago, I'm just wondering if anyone was told that their cystocele could get in the way of getting pregnant. Thanks in advance!

I realize that my final post here will be controversial. First, I want to thank everyone for the kindness they have offered when I was really down.

Next, I want to briefly explain my story: I am 35, had my first baby 6 months ago (vaginal birth with a long, hard labor). I carried A LOT of extra weight (gained 75 lbs+ during pregnancy), and had a lot of constipation. I also attempted some strenuous exercise (running) at 4 weeks. Anyhow, I feel I set myself up for problems!

Exercises for abdomen

I've scanned through the topics and purchased Saving the Whole Woman and I'm working on the exercises in the book. My cystocele was diagnosed about a year ago. It doesn't bother me, for the most part, except when it's peeking through and I can feel the bulge. I wanted to know if there are any exercises that we can do that are good for strengthening and toning the abdomen. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you all, Janan

Louiseds' POP story

I have Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) of bladder, rectum and uterus, all of which can come down to the introitus at times, though they normally don’t because of the way I arrange my posture. About 15-20 years ago a gynaecologist told me that my cervix was lower than normal which explained the pelvic congestion I was having at the time.

i just started the ww workout --which i didnt think really was going to work me out but i was sure wrong as i sit here sweating! :) anyway, right now when i was firebreathing and pulled my stomach up i felt like a vacuum suction through into my vagina. i actually pulled air up inside me. is that suppose to happen? i just started all this, so i want to make sure im ok. thank you, Denise

Exercise Question - IS IT SAFE TO DO SQUATS WHEN YOU HAVE PROLAPSE?

I haven't posted in a while because I have been feeling good. I have been taking a Body Pump class at my gym. One of the songs has us doing squats with weights. I either use light weights or no weights while doing this particular exercise.

MY QUESTION IS, IS IT SAFE TO DO SQUATS WITH PROLAPSE? My prolapse is very minor and I would like to keep it that way. My doctor said that I have no exercise restrictions but I don't want to do anything that would cause it to get worse.

I would love to hear what you ladies think/know.
