Louise's Replens trial report continued

Hi All

You may have read the first part of this story in the Sponge/Vaginal Dryness Topic that Blue started. Here is the rest of the story as it unfolds in glorious technicolour.

Part 2. Working out how much Replens I can eke out of an applicator full. This is almost impossible as I do not have an accurate scale that can measure in .1gm increments. The tube says 5.9gm applicator, delivering 2.5gm. I do not know whether this means that the remaining 3.4gm is applicator plus residual Replens, or just residual Replens.

Repliform graft results

Hi,
I'm new. I have a moderate cystocele. I've had to give up horseback riding. I hope this is not a permanent lifestyle change.

Anyway, my urogynecologist uses Repliform grafts for pelvic floor reconstruction. He says he repairs other surgeons' mesh complications a lot. This stuff is of human skin origin, cells and DNA removed, and the body's own cells grow onto it and incorporate it into the body following the graft procedure.

difference between cystocele and incontinence?

Hi Everyone

Rib pain?

Could the rib pain I had from early pregnancy be associated with pop? Intuitively I think it was/is. It started early on waaay before my bump was anywhere near my ribs and I presumed it would subside once i wasn't pregnant any more, but it still flares up from time to time, particularly when i feel the rectocele is at its worst. If i remember posture then it goes but the minute i slouch its back with me.
its definitely not gallbldder pain and is more to the middle and left. Anyone else have it? Any ideas why? what to do?

3 weeks of coughing

I've been coughing for 3 weeks solid and could cry. This is such bad timing when I'd been doing so well at 10 months postpartum and just starting to go whole weeks (yes weeks!) without any symptoms.

Despite doing everything possible to reduce the ia pressure when coughing, its finally taken its toll and i feel shocking :(

I feel like I'm getting to the end of the window for postpartum healing and feel so down knowing I'm now further back possibly than square one, without the prospect of natural postpartum improvement to look forward to.

OT: Kudos to Christine

Couldn't find a chit-chat location for this comment, but I certainly feel emotional about it, so here I squeeze in.

Christine,

Wow. I enjoyed reading the speil on the 2nd edition book and then I came to the recommendations. You got endorsements from some heavy hitters, Christine!! Christiane Northrup, Penny Simkin, Jan Tritten, Michel Odent (!), and Peggy O'Mara's didn't hurt either. The others were surely as impressive, but I was unfamiliar.

Have you considered sending a copy to Jay and Marjie Hathaway in California (the Bradley Method folks). They would probably LOVE this stuff.

Pelvic Pain and Trauma following Childbirth

I delivered occiput posterior (baby's head was facing up) last October. Lots of perineal trauma, swelling, bruising, hemmoroids from pushing etc. No bowel movement while I was in the hospital for 4 days.......once I got home I was incontinent of bowels.....blew it off as recovering from birth, etc. At day 7 saw GYN to re-check perineal swelling - she checked my anus and there was no tone whatsoever, hence my incontinence.

a void dance?

My knowledge of the female anatomy leaves much to be desired, so please excuse this inane question, but is a void created when the bladder and/or uterus shift back, prolapsing in on the vaginal wall?... And if so, what keeps the organs above from filling it? Do all our organs have supporting ligaments and fascia(?) that can, with time, stress and a displaced base, likewise sag or slip-slide out of place? (at least those organs below the diaphragm)

SALTWATER BATHS AND PERI BALM

Hi again,

I have never considered using the Whole Woman Balms vaginally – except Bliss Balm, which is made for that purpose.

However, two things led me there. First, I made the saltwater baths too strong initially and irritated my vulva, which had me reaching for the most soothing thing I had – Peri Balm. This balm was formulated to be not only soothing, but also building and strengthening. It was instant relief.

SEASALT WATER SITZ BATHS

Hi Ladies,

After an experience swimming (naked!) in the Pacific Ocean several weeks ago – and feeling so much better vagina and vulva-wise – I have begun taking sea saltwater sitz baths with very good results.
