Members' Personal POP Stories

Hi Wholewomen

I was recently prompted to write my own POP story for a member who emailed me. I have tried searching for early stories from many Members (inc me!), but it is almost impossible if the Member has been around these Forums for years and done hundreds of posts. I guess this is because of the way the Forums software works. You cannot get the Member's *comments* displayed in chronological order, cos the Search Hits only appear to be displayed in *Topic* order. We invite you to post your own POP story in its own topic with your Username in the Subject line of your story.

New Members' Stories Forum

Hi Wholewomen

I was recently prompted to write my own POP story for a member who emailed me. A whole Member's POP story is not easy to piece together using the Search box. I have tried searching for early stories from many Members (inc me!), but it is almost impossible if the Member has been around these Forums for years and done hundreds of posts. Getting discouraged

Hi again, ladies! I am having a "down" day. I am now 11 weeks post-partum and I can't say that I have seen much improvement in my cystocele. It looks SO MUCH better in the mornings, but by noon it is back to the bulge. Ugh. I am starting to think it is permenant.

I don't really have any questions, just feeling sorry for myself today.

Thanks for listening.

Can prolapse shift our bones?

Hi, i'm brand new to prolapse, and to this site. I'm so grateful to have found you all.

I'm 32 and 10 weeks postpartum. I found my prolapse at around 4 weeks pp, and was...what's a good word??? Heartbroken? Scared...I guess I still am. I've been reading through the posts and have found so much support simply in knowing I'm not alone. I relate to what one woman said, feeling like a beautiful sportscar with a blown engine. I feel broken.

Bleeding polyp again

It was last year about this time that I experienced a bleeding polyp. I have another one this year. I peeked at my bum; then went to the internet. It looks like it's a cervical polyp. I know my annual pap smear is this month so I'm going this week. I've also read(& I showed it to hubby)that it could be due to an abnormal sign of too much estrogen. I'm not even on HRT.(and never will. nasty stuff). They said this happens in postmenopausal women(which I am.) Will these polyps ever stop bleeding or is this gonna be annual occurence?

Breathing -Meditation has helped

Christine,

Thank you the breathing has helped and I have stopped shaking. Also the pain has subsided. I just got so worked up over everything including going back to work next month and my ability to what is required. I appreciate everything you have done.

Thank you so much.

a sister's diagnosis

since my sister and i have been having the same symptoms of pelvic pain and ovarian as well, she confirmed that she too has an overgrown cyst in one of her ovaries. i thought she had a prolapse as well but the doctor told her that her lining in either her uterus or cervix was way too thick and is the cause for all of her symptoms. she is scheduled for an epid-bio or a d&C late next week and as you have guessed only sees the end of the world or life itself.... i, ofcourse am very concerned, worried and scared to say the least-

health insurance

i'm about to reinstate my health insurance with aetna through their cobra filings which will basically charge me my regular monthly payments X 5 for the # of months since i was last covered. does anyone recommend or know of a better insurance out there that may be less expensive? will i find any problems in the coverage since this will be considered as a previous condition?

any advice and opinions will help?

Incomplete emptying

I just found this website and am both relieved and horrified to see all the company I have! I am 54 years old and officially menopausal (or post menopausal?) having gone 1 full year without a period. I went through menopause "cold turkey" - scared off any HRTs by the cancer and other tidbits that evidently can be acquired this way.
