UK ladies watch channel 4 at 9pm tonight (Weds 30th)

Hello ladies,

There is a show on tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm called 'embarrasing bodies' or similar. It features a lady with vaginal prolapse tonight (cystocele and rectocele) it follows her story and surgery.

I think it will be a 'quick surgical fix' slant on the story unfortunately and the interview I saw with the lady on 'This morning' (another UK show) certainly seemed to give the impression it was common (they quoted half of all births leading to some degree of prolapse) and easily fixed.

IMPLICATIONS OF THE “40 DAY LIE-IN” FOR POSTPARTUM WOMEN

All those who treat women for disorders of pelvic organ support are informed by medical science and therefore subject to the same faulty paradigms that have followed gynecology down through the ages. Flawed models engender unsound practices such as the “40 day lie-in” currently being promoted by Australian neurologist Susan Mathers, MD.

UROGYNECOLOGY AND THE REFUSAL TO MOVE BEYOND OBSOLETE AND DANGEROUS MODELS OF ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

The Western medical model is built upon a mechanistic map completely outmoded by physics and the life sciences. Four hundred years of dissection and over two hundred years of pelvic floor surgery demonstrate that a machine cannot change, grow, or evolve1. Take the Paramore Ship Model, for example:

Frequent UTI's

I have had a grade 3 cystocele for over 2 years now and it has been a constant battle with these UTI's that I am getting. I have seen 2 urologist and they both want to do a bladder spuspension on me. My bladder isn't weak, the muscles that support it are weak. Wouldn't that cause my muscles to get weaker if they did surgery on me?

More questions (Take 2)

First of all, I am so sorry if my original post started the drama that has developed on the board. I did not want my very first post to tear you all apart. While I do not know the history of the board, it seems like you all care deeply for each other and this forum is an excellent source of information and support.

Anyway....LOL...

Losses and gains

I've been sitting here most of the morning feeling down
in the dumps, remembering all the things I have lost,(my husband,
my old dog and cat many friends etc.) Then I started remebering
some of the things I did with them. Long talks and pleasant events
with my husband, long walks with my dog, silly antics my cat used to do,
talks and other events with my friends, and I realized that I haven't
lost them except physically. My memories are still intact and I can pull
them out whenever I want.
Then I started to count my other blessings, my children,(biological

Congratulations!

Qestions and need some answers...

Hi Ladies,

I'm not trying to complain, and know many are in a a much worse situation than me, but I need some help and answers.

happy bday granolababy!

well, my little guy will be turning a year on saturday.
went by so fast!
I'm still starstruck that he's actually here, I came close to giving up on baby number four, and if it hadn't been for christine and you ladies (especially Jane!), well, I get all teary-eyed just thinking about it.
sometimes I look at his blondie head (and where'd THAT? come from??? we're all dark-haired) and wonder where he came from. he's like a slice of heaven, a reminder that life can be full of blessings if only we have faith that it can be so.
