This shows that a Doctor will say one thing to your face. But once in the death sleep of anaethesia you are unable to know or defend yourself and you can wake up permanently changed, damaged only to get no information on what has been done - This is like such a ganging up of Doctors on people so they have no information on their OWN bodies...

Bladder question...

I've wondered for quite some time about why I look different 'down there.' What made me actually ASK the doctor about it and get checked was that I can see what I thought was my bladder opening where there used to be 'just' the bulge. She confirmed that it is, indeed, my bladder. When I look at pictures of the female body, it always looks as though the urethtra is more of a tube like thing coming from the bladder to where it "used to be" nestled inbetween my clitoris and vaginal opening.

Mayo clinic core strength exercises. Good or bad?

Hi ladies

I was just given this link, http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/core-strength/SM00047/RETURNTOLINK=1&RE... by a Member of a pudendal neuralgia Forum.

What do you think of these exercises? I reckon if you want to do your exercises lying down they might be quite good. I tried the crunches with my feet on the wall, and didn't get any pressure on my pelvic floor. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough???

Cheers

a gift beyond measure

This is so sappy it belongs in the emotions forum.

Last night dh and I were babysitting dgd, who is now 14 months old, and we decided to watch Yellow Submarine. Imagine the scene: this incredibly bright-eyed baby sitting between her grandparents and swaying side to side as we belted out “We all live in a yellow submarine…” Tears were rolling down my cheeks because life has passed so swiftly but also that the blessings never end…

A nice report for you all

I have been going to PT for a few months. I told my PT about wholewoman and the book. She recently bought the book and is reading the entire thing. She told me yesterday she had a new patient that was considering surgery and she recommended the book. The patient bought the book and came back and said she is not going to have surgery. I think my job was well done.
Take care,
Patty

Batons???

I posted several months ago asking about getting a baton. Christine, you said you were having some more made. Are they going to be available? Thanks so much. I'm also still wondering if there is another DVD?? (other than the First Aid for Prolapse?) It would be so nice to have all the book workout on dvd to music?

Your body can heal

Hi everyone,
I haven't been back to this board in quite some time.
I am 10 months post partum.
At 3 wks PP I had a Grade 3 cystocele and mild rectocele . I was devastated for months.
I was certain the only answer would be surgery. I had a difficult time being patient.
But very very gradually things changed. First my dribbling of urine stopped, then my bulge began to recede.

Now my cystocele has dramatically regressed to a stage one, and there are days that I don't even think about it.

is there no end to their foolishness?

This is beyond ridiculous and if I lived on the east coast I would picket the upcoming meeting referred to in this article. While they may be considering other orifices in the future, "natural orifice surgery" so far consists of one entry point - the vagina - and is being billed as a "no scar" procedure. AS IF the vagina doesn't seriously scar causing many life-long negative effects. Furious!! http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1727656,00.html?cnn=yes

Grain Buckets

I have replaced the chairs in my school room with grain buckets LOL. So now there are two grain buckets at the computer and one at my desk. Much easier to sit in a great posture and solves my grain storage problems at the same time! Right now I am sitting on a bucket of Spelt berries. The kids don't seem to notice and just sat at the computer like nothing had changed. I actually think they prefer the buckets-chairs were never comfortable for little people. Thought it was humorous, so had to share ;).
