anyone have this????

so for the second time in 6 years I am having a period. I am able to wear a tampon with no problem (well sort of-it just goes right in and then the rectocele pops out underneath it and hold it up in there- put after a while the pressure on the rectocele from the tampon is unbearable and I remove it).
Here is the thing: I had a feel around- which I haven't done in a while and here is what I found.......my rectocele starts in the right hand side of the back wall- if the middle of the pubic bone is 12 on a clock then my rectocele starts at 6 and goes to 3.

Advice - Midwife unreliable and now I'm scared

Ladies, I've got 8 weeks until my due date and now nothing seems to be going according to plan. I had a midwife who was to be my birth support but she has continuously cancelled and put off my ante-natal appointments and failed to return some of my phone calls. I don't feel I can rely on her to be there 'on the day' and think I have to give her a miss. But I've only got a couple of months to go and now I seem to be headed exactly where I don't want to go with this second birth.

A New Exercise

After watching the video, reading a lot of forum posts and doing a lot of experimenting, I came up with an exercise that has been helping me a lot. It really pulls things up for me. When I start to feel low at the end of the day, I do this exercise a few times and I feel a lot better for a while. Its kind of a variation of one that arunnergirl suggested a while back.

Kit - question about urethra pain

Hi Kit

I remember you talking about urethra pain and how you used aloe vera to help. Since the birth of this baby some mornings I woke up with pain, in the urethra area. I thought it was related to not drinking enough water the night before so I would drink and drink and within an hour it went away. It happened less and less. However lately in the last week it feels very irritated like dry or something and last night I got this shooting pain that comes and goes and today I still have it off and on. What kind of gel do you use and how do you apply it?? Thanks.

New member fantic for posture advice

I had my regular pap exam yesterday and discovered that my cystocele was much worse than last year, whereupon the gyn brought in her partner to discuss surgery and they decided that a hysterectomy was indicated since I am post menopausal and my uterus, in their opinion, would prolapse if I only had a bladder surgery. They said it was an elective surgery, but as I get older it will get worse as well as the surgery will be more diffricult for me to handle. I was so discouraged and am now very motivated to learn how posture and exercises might help.

Future implications

I posted at this site once a couple of years ago, and I haven't since mostly because I haven't had internet access. I am twenty four years old with one child and a third degree uterine prolapse. I usually use a pessary that my midwife and I crafted out of beeswax, as beeswax is a natural anti-infectant and I find I can leave it in longer. I tend to get vaginal infections when I use something foriegn in my body.

mother in law

I know this probably doesnt belong anywhere on the forum, but you ladies have such a wealth of knowlege, I thought I'd throw this out there.
anyway, my inlaws are staying with us for a few weeks. we see them every few months, and its getting obvious that *something* is going on with my mil. she's slowing down (she's 69) and almost stiff at times. she rarely moves one arm anymore. my sisters in law, who live nearby the il's say they havent noticed anything.

Success with Herbs!

Hello ladies,
I posted a few weeks back saying I would give more info on the herbs I was taking....

Well for those interested I have been taking:
Equisitum Arvense, Alchemila Vulgaris, Achilea Milefolium & Chamaelirium Luteum.

In English: Lady's Mantle, Horsetail, Yarrow, and False Unicorn Root.

I'm not sure of the quantities of each, my brother has mixed them for me as he is a herbalist.

travelling!

Hi all,

i just wanted to share that we are about to go on a long haul flight!!!
we were meant to go last year this time, but i cancelled as i just felt like i needed to focus on healing being at the beginning of my prolapse journey, and felt that travelling 11 hours on a plane would not help, along with a 2 hour drive each side.

Living well with prolapse

I posted this on the blog, but I wanted to repost it here-is that OK Christine?-because I think many woman read these posts first and it might help a newbie not be so scared

After having been diagnosed with 3rd degree cystocele (the midwife sad it was the "worst she had ever seen") I spent months NOT lifting my baby NOT wearing my baby NOT playing with my children etc. I was sad, angry, and frustrated at my helplessness. I could not walk to the park with my children because of the prolapse being so uncomfortable and I used to run miles!
