Trying to locate....................

Howdidthishappen, you mentioned a few days ago that a good friend of yours once worked with a lady who had prolapse and who was also a martial arts expert. Is there any way you can find out how to contact that lady? I also do not want to give up my martial arts practice.

Is anyone on this site into martial arts of any kind, and has continued despite prolapse? I would LOVE to hear from you.

I am also trying to find people who live near me, if any of the whole woman contributors do. I live on the border of Loudoun and Fairfax counties in Northern Virginia.

Actually, how would I contact anyone specifically other than by this forum message board? I am new to the intricacies of this kind of communication.

need advice

Hi ladies,
I have been diagnosed with a grade 2 cysotcele which is driving me crazy. The rest is minor so I think it's ok. I have seen a gyn, urologist and urogyno all in the last month and am more confused.
I really dont want surgery. So today I decided to change my posture.
Boy did I feel better all day. Tell me something encouraging I need to know to feel better without surgery.
Patty

one-sided article

i was just sent a link for an article from the babycenter.com website. it refers to pelvic organ prolapse as a serious gynecological disorder that "CAUSES more than 200,000 women each year to undergo corrective surgery." (emphasis mine) unfortuanately, i think it is the surgeons who CAUSE many of those women to undergo surgery by offering them no alternative guidance whatsoever beyond KEGELS! i think i may write to babycenter asking that they present a more balanced picture.

by the way, the woman who sent this to me had studied & desired to have a natural delivery with her first but had to have a c-section to protect the baby's health. after reading this, she is re-thinking whether she should go for a vbac.

How Many Years Can you Live with this?

I am just wondering how many years have you lived with rectocele? I am about 1 1/2 years and I just came from the dr. and she said you really should have this fixed. My condition is moderate. What ever that means. I have tailbone pain and some discomfort vaginally at times. I have to use a warm water enema at times to get the stuck stool out. I am trying every regimen for have a good bowel movement, but I just can't get it right, either to soft or not enough. I currently take 2 tbsp. of Metimusel, a probotic and eating a green apple every day. I really don't want to have surgery but I just can't stand the quality of life I have now. My whole life is programed around have a bowel movement. Should I just live with this or should I have the surgery? I have been doing the dvd exercises but don't feel much results but I can't say I have been faithful at doing them everyday. Can you give me any suggestions on living with this problem?

smocked skirt

Therese,

I PROMISE I will get the skirt instructions to you…but it’s still going to have to wait. I got carried away with the baby quilt I’m racing against time to finish – it’s a seaside scene and for some incomprehensible reason, I drew an underwater scene on the little pail that’s laying in the sand – and have been embroidering for days on end. I know I’m going to get “the call” anytime. I also have to make a felted wool mattress pad for the cradle.

SO…when I return from my two week stay with my little family I will write up the instructions with a picture of the skirt.

Hi Everyone!

Am so glad I found this website! This is my problem. Urethrocele and vaginal wall prolapse. So far the bladder itself is not droppping uterus looks good. Have ordered " the book". Also fembrace (wearing it , although not too comfortable). Using sepia 4 times a day.
I work on my feet all day so I lay in bed in the evening. That is the most comfortable place for me.
Discovered this problem the first of January 2007.
I've had 4 children. Oldest 29, youngest 20..am 55 years old.
Any replies will help me...and thanks!

cystocele/rectocele postpartum HELP

Hello everyone, I am posting here in hopes of some great input from some experienced people. Here is the situation...I am going to bullet it to prevent too much reading on your part :)
32 years old
5 weeks postpartum with 4th baby
3 Pregnancies All vaginal deliveries w/in 4 years!!(twins w/ 2nd Preg.) My oldest will be 4 in 2 months
Dx w/ some cystocele/rectocele 2 weeks ago (first time)

OK I understand why it happened and what it is, for the most part, I am curious how I can fix it. I have to be able to run around after these kids and by 200pm I feel this awful 'thing' between my legs. It becomes very uncomfortable!!!! I hate it!!!! I am doing 300+ kegels per day. The MD says nothing can be done right now because my tear is still healing and I am nursing so my hormones levels are low. I am an avid cyclist and workout hard (when not Preg). I am going crazy now just trying to get back to some normal activity. I guess my main ?'s are:

OT: email

dang. someone emailed me from the site and it ended up in my spam folder. I accidentally deleted before noticing who the sender was and now I can't find it.

so if you tried to contact me in the last day or so and didn't get a response, that's why. please try again. sorry about that.
