Walking, cannot get comfortable...

Hi,

I am now 19weeks pregnant, and at 13 weeks were diagnosed with a cervix proplapse, which has now gone, due to the pregnancy, My doctor tells me everything is where it should be now, but I do not believe him as I still feel differnent down below, so I have been practising my posture, I have always walked everyday, and are trying to continue this as I love walking, But I cannot master walking and holding the position. Is there is tips how to do this, I am completly lost, I feel like everything is uncomfortable, Is it hard to master? I believe I am doing the standing and sitting postures o.k. and they actually feel good.

Vulvodynia, vestibulitis and corticosteroids for asthma

Hi all

You may remember my raves about the merits of Buteyko breathing for alleviating asthma?

Well, for the last couple of years, up until about May this year I had a lot of genital pain which has since subsided and doesn't seem to give me much trouble at all now. Lucky me. I also had repeated thrush and urinary tract infections which got quite out of control for a time, antibiotics, antifungals, the works. Finally fixed with a combination of vigilant hygeine, loose knickers, longer pubic hair, oral probiotics, more foreplay and better lubricants, and vitamin E cream morning and night.

Fire Breathing Question

Hi again,

I see you offer classes & you even asked if I would be interested in holding a seminar over here in DC. Yes, DEFINITELY!! In the mean time however, do any of your classes show people how to correctly stand & breathe? Also, in you’re Fire Breathing post, you cautioned folks w/ BP issues. How can this work if you have flat feet or high b.p.? And what will happened if you have flat feet or high b.p. and start Fire Breathing ?

Flat feet - need help/advise

I have flat feet where 90% of my weight rests in my heels. My feet are also twisted so instead of my heel looking like an oval or O, it is slanted. Kind of like this \___) (___/ where the outer edge is severely turned out. How thusly would I stand to properly fix my posture & improve my prolapse?

I live in DC, where can I go?

Thank God for this site and forum. · Not sure this is posted under the right topic. If not, feel free to move it to the appropriate section. Do you know anywhere on the east coast I can get a similar type of class, etc.? Perhaps some type of yoga class. I saw that someone mentioned some type of ?Inca massage and some type of pelvic floor yoga. Is there anywhere one can go who doesn’t live near you to get some similar type of person-2-person instruction?

Please list some exercise you recommend.

Hi,

I’m sooo glad you guys exist. From what I see, you’re the only group on the internet so far which speaks about non-segerical means regarding prolasps. I planned to go into my history/bio when I had spare time at work with the NICE keyboard & not this micro-laptop keypad w/ is really hard/annoying to type w/ if you have any nails.

But to just give you a really big rave & shout out, I want to thank you for helping me pee over the phone. Being an American artist/writer who’s a self-employed promoter w/ a PT “day job” I get no health ins. or benefits.

Somehow always being paranoid with the food & drug industry (I quite an avid conspiracy theorist) & seeing many folks taking loads of drugs yet never being cured of their ailment, I always looked forward to alternate means. I mean, I couldn’t even take my antibiotic 3 x’s a day for 2 weeks, let alone stuck on some drug for life that won’t cure anything, just maintain it & make it impossible to quit w/out major health consequences.

where can I got the information about the posture or exercise that you are talking about?

Hi,

Christine, can you recommend good ab work besides the dvd work? Anyone else?

This is the issue. Since I've been doing the postural work, and stopped doing the post=partum abdominal exercises I was doing prior to discovering the prolapse, about once a week or so, it seems someone thinks I am pregnant. It also may be due to the more relaxed clothing I'm wearing. This is pretty annoying, because I'm not!

I'm pretty petite -- 5 foot 3, weighing 112 lbs. Maybe 5 lbs. above pre-pregnancy weight. I definitely have a little extra on my tummy. Anyway, looking for suggestions; or, at least, ways to deal with this situation! My dr. of tcm thinks it's primarily due to change in posture.

Urinary tract infections

Hi everyone,

Well, it's end of July and I just got over another UTI about 2 weeks ago. I used a different antibiotic this time to rid myself of the infection called Macrobid. It worked fine, but now two weeks later I'm feeling like.... one might be coming on again. I hate this! I was wondering if perhaps the sea sponges I am using could be the culprit. I keep them very clean with hydrogen peroxide rinsing and also using essential oils to clean them. However, since they are porrous I was thinking that the sponge could possibly be the problem with the recurring infections. Has anyone else had this experience with the sponges? I have a cystocele which feels so much more comfortable using the sponges when I'm on my feet a lot.
