Great Consultation

Forum:

Just wanted to pop a note to comment on my great Skype consult with Christine today. I was a bit nervous but there was no need to be and I feel very empowered following it.

The two things for me to work on I would have struggled to pin point so it was so great to have that little tweak that is specific to my needs. I expect all WW practitioners would be wonderful to have a consult with.

Too late?

I have been reading a lot of older pp threads and have come to realize that I definitely had some degree of prolapse immediately after birth. Things looked and felt a little different but were not bothersome and I really didn't think much about it until I became symptomatic after lifting weights. That was a little over 3 months ago and now I am a bit over 8 months postpartum. I know that this work will take some time but I can't help but think that I ruined my chance to heal through unknowingly making the prolapse worse. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Sway Back

Forum:

I have been wondering about sway backs lately as I have a bottom that sticks out so much in WW posture (well always but I used to tuck it) and it has caused me quite a bit of confusion. It will be interesting what Christine says in my consult this Tues.

Stumbled upon this...need a WW opinion

Forum:

I stumbled upon this site, did a bit of reading (including checking out some of the links too) and a lot of it does seem to jive with the WW approach (altho not sure about the approach to strengthening the pelvic muscles). Just wondered if there is anything of value here. Thanks. Here's the link... http://mutusystem.com/pelvic-organ-prolapse-why-kegels-arent-enough.html

WW running 8 months pp

I went for a run for the first time post-prolapse. And it felt great! In fact, the nagging urge to pee I always have while walking was totally gone during the run. What a blessing! My run was very conservative. I did only a mile with intervals of running, then walking. All in all, I probably only ran a half mile (on toes and in posture). I am concerned about worsening my prolapse, however. How much is too much? Does 3 days a week of this amount of running seem reasonable? When I started weight lifting again, I also did a more conservative workout, felt great, and then prolapsed.

hello

This is my first post, though I have been following the conversations in this forum – almost daily - since I first discovered the symptoms of uterine prolapse nine months ago. In the earliest frenzied days following the discovery, with the usual painful and unsatisfactory diagnostic visit to the gynaecologist, the usual recommendations for a radical hysterectomy and/or a pessary (I hated the pessary and pulled it out painfully one night a week later) and many hours on the Internet, researching anything and everything, I eventually landed on this site.

Alcohol

Forum:

Dear WW Ladies,

Can we know the true anatomy of the pelvis?

Hi, iv recently been diagnosed with a prolapse uterus, and as a result of this I am doing lots of research to try to understand what is happening to my body. The first gynecologist I saw said I have a 2/3rd degree uterus prolapse and it would be best to have surgery I disagreed on having surgery. He fitted a pessary but it felt uncomfortable and pushed out when I went to the toilet. So I was given another appointment to change the pessary. By now I had found this site and had been doing a lot of research. I presented my research to the gynecologist and asked for his feedback.

Firebreathing on the Toilet

Hi Everyone,

I've started doing gentle firebreathing during bowel movements and wanted to check in to see if others have done this. Also to see if anyone might know if this is contraindicated for any reason.

In general I'm spending a lot less time on the toilet and have really developed improved awareness around when my organs are in their proper position. It's amazing how this work just keeps on giving...
