Does the vagina shrink, in circumference maybe?

I had a doctor, few yrs back, say the tissues of the vaginal walls resembles a rope. When its stretched it frays like a rope would when loosening the fibers.

I'm having a hard time believing that. But if it is true, does it mend back together?

Vaginismus comes to mind. If a women can experience having her vagina so tight that penetration is nearly impossible, then mending fibers is a likely scenario.

My vagina is so loose right now. Its dry and gets irritated. I only notice it when I walk. Is there something that can be done for this?

progress or lack of it

So I have not posted for a few weeks. The last time I was using the sight regularly I was on holiday and had time, a husband around, no children to get to school no work to do etc. I ordered the book and it arrived when I returned from holiday and I am trying to make some time to use the DVD and do a little of something every day, although I'm finding the pace of the movements quite hard to keep up with .

Bogus medical journals

Hi All

It's no wonder doctors appear to be uninformed sometimes, when they are up against this sort of thing. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/may/09/bad-science-medical-... . They have a hard enough time keeping up on their reading. Now they have to deal with bogus medical journals as well. These journals are published by bonafide scientific publishers like Elsevier, but funded by the big pharma companies and the like, and contain papers that give glowing research reports on their products.

Burning pain!

I am wondering if uterus prolaps and cystocele could be the reason for my BURNING pain in my lower abdomen. It feels like something is preassuring on the bladder. It feels like I have a UIV all the time. It feels like i need to pee all the time, but just a few drops comes out. It seems like I cant emptying my bladder completely.

So my quiestion is, could a prolapsed uterus and bladder give these symptoms ?
It is driving me nuts :(

diagram of a "normal" vagina?

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of a vagina without proplapse?

What was the worse POP you've had and how long did it take you to recover

or at least symthom free?

I need some hope here. :(

I know I'm less than a week post partum but I am so worried right now. When My bladder is full it buldges out. I'm doing everything I can to stay in bed but come next week my husband will return to work and I'll resume my former responsibilities.

Today, after noticing my bladder out of my body, I reached in to feel where (or if I could even reach it) my cervix was. My middle knuckle is how far my finger will reach. Sorry, I know - TMI. My cervix is low.
