Prolapse...then pregnancy??? Is it ok?

Okay, so I found my prolapse roughly 11 weeks ago, 2 weeks after giving birth to my 3rd baby. I have a cystocele and rectocele. At first I was very, very depressed. But since starting antidepressents, I haven't been so bothered by the prolapse.

I thought I was quite sure I had finished having babies (I'm 23 and #1 because of the prolapse and #2 I thought he didn't want anymore and #3 it was baby #3) but....

hey ladies

Hello beautiful ladies,
I have to take a little break here because I am overwhelmed with work at the moment and having trouble keeping up with it all. In the meanwhile, if there is anything I can help with regarding herbal/nutritional information, please feel free to e-mail me privately. I just don't have time to stay tuned with all the threads!
Be back soon,
Stella

Pilates-good or bad for prolapse?

Hi Gang

It's me again, Sheppie. Still hanging in there in the 'ole prolapse department. Now 9 months PP, my PT informs me I have a "stubborn bladder". I guess she thought it would go up with treatment.

Collagen Bulking agents as a help with incontinence.

After having biofeedback treatments, neuromodulation treatments, insertion of a trans-obturator sling to support my urethra, and watching diet closely, doing my Kegels daily, I still have incontinence. Now, I am wondering about the help of a bladder sphincter bulking agent to lessen the urinary leakage. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks you. Sally

Herbs?

I've been doing some research on herbs and prolapse and there are a few products out there that claim to help prolapse by strengthening the vaginal wall. I did a search on here and didn't find any recent posts on herbs, so I apologize if it's here and I just missed it. Has anyone tried using herbs to treat their prolapse? Any success or recommendations on what to try? Also I would need something safe for breastfeeding.
Thanks!

Saved by the bell??

I have surgery scheduled for a cystocel scheduled for April 16 and a urodynamics test scheduled next week. I was starting to get "cold feet," so I decided to get more info via the web. That's how I found this site. When I first found out that I had the cystocele, I was going to try physical therapy, but when I found out that my cystocele was stage III, I didn't think it would work, but after reading posts on this site, I think I need to reconsider trying a non-surgical approach.

just wanted to introduce myself

Hello,
I am hoping to find support here as well as be able to get a lot of questions answered. I am so happy to have found this site. I feel it will be a lifeline for a while, til I can come to terms with this new issue of mine: vaginal prolapse.

Wheat

I'm interested in the effect of eating wheat on BMs.

I'm eating a lot of fibre - I can't fit in any more into my day (I'm not a huge eater anyway) and I heard that eating over 40g of fibre a day affects the absorption of calcium, iron etc. I'm trying to gain most from food sources, as well as a couple of doses of metamucil. But I'm still having trouble with BM's and get pain from rectal pressure.

something slipping out of anus?

Hello everyone,

This sounds weird, but all day I have felt something "slipping" around my anus. I was just diagnosed with a cystocele and a grade 1 uterine prolapse, but my doc didn't mention anything about a rectocele (however, I was laying down for the exam).

Then this morning, after my bowel movement and after breakfast, I got up from the table, and felt something small "slipping" out of my anus. All day, my anus has felt a little irritated, and I've felt the slipping sensation a few times today. I can't figure out if it's hemorrhoids, or if it's a rectocele.
