sad time for me

I hesitated to share this-but after reading granolamom's post and realizing how much love there truly is here I am going ahead...
I hope that in the infinite wisdom that I have seen here, that there will be some words offered to me that will comfort or guide or help in any way.

Easter Eggs

Just wanted to tell you how much fun (and what a mess!) dd and I had dyeing eggs last night. We've been painting eggs for years instead of dyeing them, but this time was different. We decided to buy a dozen good white eggs and nothing else, but to go home and use only what we had on hand in my kitchen. I know you can do fancy stuff like impress images of leaves and such on the eggs, but we didn’t know how to do that.

Third Trimester Update

Hello Ladies,

Well, I've reached the third trimester stage with POP and have about two months to go until the exciting arrival of bubba number two.

Things are going really well with the POP. I really thought I'd feel much worse by now but I don't feel too badly at all. The V2 supporter still helps me out with being active and I make sure I put my feet up once a day (not so easy with an active toddler but I do get there).

What Are Your Results From The Bodywork?

This is my first post. I'm 32 and 8 weeks pp with baby #4. I discovered right after delivery that I had a 2nd degree cystocele. It's driving me insane and is pretty much consuming me. My gynecologist is pretty apathetic about it and told me just to wait for it to get better, but I did a lot of research right away and insisted on him getting a ring pessary for me. The first one he gave me kept falling down too far, so I asked him to order me the next size up, which has been a lot better. In fact, if the pessary solves the problem for me as long as it's in.

post partum prolapse

Hi everyone-
Really, I'm not here! Just popping in a bit and had to come on to share something. This is especially for all of you women with post partum prolapse. I hope this will encourage you all. I was visiting with a friend who is in her 50's with 4 grown children. We were talking about prolapse and I figured out from what she described of her experiences after each of her 4 babies that she was prolapsed after each one. She has absolutely NO signs of prolapse now and hasn't since her post partum months.
Hope that spreads some hope.

dried nettle?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what you think about dried, organic nettle? I have a source for it and have found it very good to drink. What amazes me is that the herb keeps its bright emerald green even after steeping. My guess is that, like other dried foods and herbs, it probably contains around 50% of its original properties.

Thanks,

Christine

Purrs of Wisdom Found...

Yesterday, I was all happy-cat, feeling that I had surely cornered my mouse. I was lit with sunshine after having spent a few glorious, light filled days with my husband and our grown children here at home--my most-loved safely, happily around me. I was feeling strong, healthy, and with an aliveness of spirit that had not been around so surely in a long, deep while. I worked in the yard a bit—smiled at the dirt that I have missed so much and took great and silly joy pulling weeds. How could I not have always known that pulling weeds was such a pleasure?

Update....and many thanks

I wanted to thank everyone who suggested using flaxseed to alleviate (or prevent?) hot flashes. I usually only get them during the last week of my cycle (or during the usual 'pms' time---before) so I wasn't sure, right away, if it was working or not.

bodysuit

Has anyone thought of using a bodysuit as a part of the prolapse wardrobe? I am most comfortable with something giving me some snugness, a little upward pressure, under the crotch. I get it by wearing pants with a gusset plus adjustable elastic suspenders under my shirt. It occurs to me that a stretchy bodysuit with snaps under the crotch might give the same slight-upward-pressure effect.

I could even then have the look of a tucked-in shirt again by wearing it with a type of pants I make which are virtually weightless, made from sheeting, very baggy and with a "paper-bag" waist.
