full blown prolapse

Thanks to a horrid intestinal problem and straining I have now progressed to a full blown uterine prolapse and bladder prolapse. My doctor tells me that the prolapse won't come out any further. The doctor also believes that the bladder prolapse is pressing on the rectum and causing the impaction of the intestines. Has anyone else ever had this problem? and how have you dealt with it? I am about ready to try anything, even surgery, to stop the pain. Thanks for any info. you might have to share.

Back in place?

I am 67, long past menopause. I lift a lot of heavy things during harvest
time in the Fall.
I had a uterine prolapse about 7 weeks ago. My cervix was hanging outside my vaginal opening.
I have the WW book and tape and have practiced the posture and exercises faithfully.
My sister suggested sleeping with my hips and legs slightly raised.
When I got up my uterus felt back in position. It feels like it might be leaning
slightly to my right again the pubic bone? It has stayed there for days.

Has this happened to others?

Bowel movement posture for rectocele

Hey Ladies!

Question about bowel flora

Hi Everyone!

I saw somewhere that Christine mentioned bowel flora as very important for the rectum. I'm dealing with a rectocele, and I can completely imagine that probiotics are important! I've just started taking one, and working my way up to more. Are there any recommendations or is one of the products a place to learn more about this? Would probiotics help the rectocele? (Along with posture, of course!)

Thanks!

Question about others' experience with rectocele and the posture

Hi Everyone!

I'm dealing with a rectocele, and am learning the posture diligently! I am not opposed to splinting during bowel movements forever, but the symptom that is most bothersome is a feeling of needing to have a bowel movement throughout the day, even though I've already emptied my bowels. Did anyone have this issue and find the posture helped?

Question on how the posture works on prolapse over time

Hello,

I believe I have a basic understanding of how the posture works. I can see how lifting the chest, relaxing the belly, and maintaining the lumbar curve can create the tilted pelvis, encouraging the pelvic organs to move forward rather than back.

Best WW exercise program during pregnancy

Hello,

Not pregnant as yet, but hoping to be soon. Would like to buy maybe one of the yoga DVDs and hoping that I can continue with it if I become pregnant. Are any more or less appropriate for pregnant women?

Thanks in advance.

Sports tampons are amazing things!

Hello all, I want to thank whoever put the idea of using sports tampons, instead of a pessary, on this forum site! I am 61 and have struggled with a moderate prolapse (seems to by bladder) for many years. It has come and gone. I tried the estring but it just was super uncomfortable as my uterus is tipped as well. I think it got worse when I was taking care of my mother, lifting her was a bad idea.

Cystocele

Hi, I am new to this site. I have never had bleeding with prolapse and it scared me so badly. I am 67 years old and shouldn't be bleeding. I have been to my GYN doctor and a biopsy of the uterus was done and it came back fine. The doctor said it was probably coming from the prolapse, it was like something would burst a little, it would bleed and then stop, no more of anything. Now the doctor wants me to have it fixed, it is below the hymen. My question is has anyone else had bleeding from prolapse and would surgery fix the problem?

Wow, thank you for this site.

A short history about me.

October, 2015, I discovered I had a uterine prolapse, although I suspect it had been around for some time, perhaps helped on by hormonal changes due to reasonably early menopause - I was only 40 at the time, and am just turned 65 now.
