Rectocele Question

So, this is my first post. I was recently diagnosed with rectocele, after seeing my physician for constipation over 3 months. There have been plenty of comments in various places on the web regarding how to deal with cystocele, but much fewer for rectocele. I read something about pushing against the back of the vagina to correct the rectum so feces could move out of its' 'stuck' position. However, I have to remove my finger in order to have a bowel movement (as far as I can tell)! But, doing that seems to cause the bm to go back to its' 'stuck' location.

Rectocele

I am 69. Have had 3 children and a partial hysterectomy when I was 36. I believe my problem started when I was lifting stuff too heavy for me. (Forgetting I am not as young as I used to be)just this summer . I did see my GP and she said it is the bowel filling up my vagina(I have no uterus). It does protrude sometimes more than others. Keeping my bowels loose helps. She said to do kegels (can't spell) . I am wondering , as all my muscles are pretty loose just from aging, it they will do any good. I am to see a gyn in the future when they can work me in.

Most Important Daily Exercise

Hello,
I am 31 years old, 11 weeks post partum from my first baby and have a cystocele and slight rectocele. I ordered the post partum bundle, and am a little overwhelmed with where to begin. Also, having an 11-week-old I don't have a lot of time for myself. I tried to search for this because I'm sure someone has asked it before, but other than the posture, what is the one most important thing I could do each day to keep my condition from getting worse, or maybe even actually improve it?

lichen sclerosus and acv

I have been using the raw honey for several weeks now and it seems to help a lot. I also started using the raw apple cider vinegar with the mother in it. I use Bragg because that is the one I am most familiar with. I have noticed though that when I apply the vinegar it does not sting but it causes an itching sensation at first. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience? After the itching sensation it feels great though. I also ordered Red Clover and Nettle because I heard these were good for hormones. At 66 years old I am learning so much.

35 weeks pregnant with postpartum prolapse

Along with nesting other signs of reality settling in are hitting me. I plan on having an unmedicated hospital birth. I have an amazing OB, but to be honest I'm really starting to wonder if a doula would be almost necessary this round to help me with labor positioning? I had a postpartum stage 3 cystocele and rectocele, but they greatly improved after I stopped breastfeeding my daughter at 14 months. My back has been killing me, specifically my tailbone, but otherwise my prolapse is still there, but not getting worse. I had been really worried about that!

Learning to eat vegetables ?

Forum:

So recently, I've wanted to introduce a lot more vegetables into my diet. However the problem isn't my unwillingness to eat vegetable or my lack of commitment to, it's that my mouth has a natural gag reaction to vegetable. It's especially stronger when something more juicy like say a cucumber or zucchini or broccoli is introduced. Even though i can barely eat lettuce, it isn't much and there is still that initial gag reflex my body has to it. I want to learn to eat healthier but I don't want to try to eat healthier by combining health food with things I like.

prolapse

Hello everyone. I am 29 years old and am new to the site. I had my first baby at age 22 without any complications after. My son is 11 weeks old and I was DX with cystocele 8 weeks after he was born. I went to my gyno because I had no idea what was wrong. She did confirm cystocele sent me home to do kegels for 6 weeks. I noticed about 2 days ago I have a bulge in the back as well.. I am assuming this is a rectocele. At this point I'm not sure what I should do or if there is even anything I can do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone...

Ventro rectopexy/Intussusception

Hello,
I am new to forum.

History
2004
Low back pain on waking, some degeneration of spinal joints.
Pelvic tumors found 2004, adjacent to sciatic nerve (was told to monitor as biopsy too near nerve)
They appear to have shown stability however there is lower sacral nerve involvement which appears to be contributing to this global prolapse.
I have a large posterior cystocele and womb laying low.
Normal bladder pressures no leakage of urine.
I have internal rectal prolapse (intussusception) mid grade.

postpartum with prolapse

5 weeks PP but my story goes back a few years. I'll try and keep it short!
Pregnancy #1 - was at age 22. I was newly married and we decided not to continue with the pregnancy. A decision I will regret for the rest of my life.
Pregnancy #2- was at age 24. I had a perfect pregnancy with no complications and I was on the go the whole time. Delivered a beautiful baby girl who is now 2 1/2. Recovering was not a problem and I was out for walks early with her.

Help me - anyone

I've been going to doctor to doctor trying to figure out the "bulge" feeling and tightness is going on in my rectum.
The obgyn felt it but was unsure of what it was - perineum has bluge inside rectum there is a bluge like object I have to push on or move in order to have a bm. It is certainly obstructing the bowel.

I was told to fix my bowel habits - suffering from constipation - often. Trying to manage that.

I lift and do love exercising but it makes it worse. My lower back is tense, when I bend over it is worse. Urinating is hard to do as well.
