Silly Question.....

I had my baby 3 1/2 weeks ago. I am feeling pretty good, but I can really feel my urethra poking out again. I'm trying to use the posture all day, but I'm wondering whether a different sleeping position would help to stabilize it. Would stomach sleeping help?

Favorite Foods

This is a new way of eating for me, and a lot of my old favorites have been,at least temporarily, removed from my diet. I was wondering if people would share some of their favorite recipes?

nature abhors a vacuum

so my cystocele has gotten even smaller. that's the good news.

and now my cervix has moved. not sure if this is bad news or good news, hoping someone will have a clue. used to be not especially low enough to worry about, but seemed to be pointing anteriorly toward the right. I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it. and that's strange, where's a cervix going to go? well, it was moved back, not sure if its lower, but now its pointing straight back towards the posterior wall. it feels a bit lower maybe, but again, not sure if its just the change in orientation.

Confused...I have a question>>>>

I have been reading the site and wondering something...is his book "Saving the Whole Woman"...telling us that we don't have to have surgery for pelvic organ prolapse? I have had two failed surgical repairs for this, and if I knew that I could manage this condition I would never have had surgery in the first place!! Can someone shed some light on this for me? I have been reading many of the posts and it seems that you can manage this whole thing without surgery?? Sorry for being so dense, but how is this done??? Or is this what the book is about?? Thank you!

Starr Procedure

What exactly is this? The dr. didn't say I needed it, but said after doing all of the testing, I may need this. Since I'm too afraid of having the testing done I guess I don't have to worry. But, is this the same as the "regular prolapse" surgery? Or, is it something all on it's own?

New here and question re: cervix hanging out

Hi, I'm new here happy to have found this forum. I'm a little confused though. My symptom is that cervix hangs out alot of times. I've been reading about women mostly having a rectocele. Is it the same thing?

vaginal hysterectomy and anterior and posterior repair

Can I benefit from Christine's DVD even if I had hysterectomy almost two years ago? I still struggle with stiffness in groin area and bulge in the vaginal area. I suspect it is the bladder causing the bulge. I also have a monarc sling put in to hold my bladder up.

New here...two failed vaginal prolaplse (with rectocele) with mesh slings....

Hi I am new here. I don't know if I am posting in the right place or not. Perhaps you can enlighten me. I have had two failed surgical procedures for prolapse (mesh was used in both cases)...the mesh fell into my bowels and I had to have extensive surgery to remove the mesh, and I now have a temporary ileostomy because of it. What a mess!

To granolamom, alemama, and louiseds

I just wanted to tell you three ladies how thankful I am to be able to read your posts and responses. I've been spending a lot of days since the discovery and confirmation of my postpartum cystocele reading of your experiences and it gives me so much hope and inspiration to know that I too can look forward to being as active as I like, as sexy as I want to be, and possibly expand our little family without being in fear. I write down all the positive things you have to say, and read them when I'm not online.

perineal repair and prolapse?

I am 3 weeks postpartum after a vaginal delivery (my second) that involved a 2nd degree perineal tear. My midwife gave me just one stitch, but that stitch was causing all kinds of swelling and terrible pain, so at one week postpartum, she said I could go ahead and clip it, and that the tear would heal completely anyway, but just take longer.
