New and need some quick advice

Okay, I know I can search the forums and probably come up with the answers I'm looking for. But there's only so much time in my day. I have three under four and I'm moving to a whole foods diet which takes a TON of time. The bread is sponging and the soup pot is begging for attention...the diapers need to move to the dryer so he has something to wear in the next couple of hours...you know how it goes. So I'll try to make this short and quick...and hopefully everyone will have a little sympathy for an overworked and very tired mommy. Baby number 3 was born a year ago yesterday.

This and That

So today I cleaned my apartment top to bottom, did the Whole Woman workout, two loads of laundry, and walked 30 minutes while wearing my baby. I made sure to take a nice lie-down in the afternoon, but I have to say I feel pretty good. No smaller, but no bigger, either. This evening we had an open house (selling the place). Maybe my belly was "extra proud" in response to my active day, but one woman actually asked if I was expecting. UGGGG!

I just took my new pessary for a spin

I was fitted for a pessary last week. I said I wanted something I could just put in once in a while if I wanted to take the kids to the zoo or be on my feet for the day. We tried three different kinds and I left with the one I wanted. The gyn's office had it in stock. It is very easy to put in and not too bad to remove.

TESTIMONIALS

Dear Wholewomen,

In our efforts to further the word about this blessed work we are in need of testimonials for the new DVD, First Aid for Prolapse. If you could take a moment to post here what you like about the video and why we would so appreciate it!

Gratefully and with a full heart,

Christine

A week in the "real world"

After discovering my cystocele at 5 weeks pp, I pretty much spent the next seven weeks too afraid to spend much time off of my butt. I discovered this site, slowly started implementing the posture and other therapies, and was starting to see enough improvement to give me hope of healing.

Rigid ring pessary

I have just collected a ring pessary, as prescribed by my doctor, from the pharmacy. I am rather alarmed to find that it is thick and completely rigid. I had imagined something that would be doubled up for insertion and then spring open once inside. Please has anyone experience of a rigid ring pessary like this, and of inserting / extracting it yourself?

Children after Prolapse?

My 3rd child was born 2 years ago. Right after birth I noticed something wasn't right. I had to move around on the toilet and lift a leg just to urinate. I felt I had to sit on a pillow or ball just to keep everything up where it was supposed to be. I worried I would need reconstructive surgery. After a few months I could at least pee straight, and now it has improved to where I only notice my prolapse during menstruation. My question is, has anyone here had another child after they were diagnosed with prolapse?

Nauli

Out of curiosity, has anyone with a perimenopausal third degree prolapse (say, primarily cystocele), attempted/succeeded in nauli breathing?

Nauli questions

Hello all

I have found the directions to this exercise online but am wondering how many you should do each day? The website I found explained that you progress to higher levels of the exercise each day but I'm wondering how many 'sets' I should be doing each day. I do enjoy the exercise which is great!

Thanks in advance

Hormones and Cystocele

I am sure Christine has talked about this subject before, but I am new to the site and still trying to find my way around. I am 54, never had surgery and dealing with a cystocele for several months. I did it to myself, squatting too much, lifting heavy grandkids and very poor posture. I have not had a period for 9 months, but the last two weeks my breasts have been very swollen and sore, and my cystocele seems to be worse too. I have not done any lifting or straining and I am working on the exercises and posture. Could a shift in my hormones cause the cystocele to get worse?
