if half of mums have it does that make me normal?

i don’t know if anyone will be able to understand my question as its probably too many rolled together!!! but there is something i really can not grasp: i keep reading that lots of women prolapse after birth, but if they do why dont you see mums at baby groups looking uncomfortable when they stand up, bend, pick up their baby . so can you prolapse with no symptoms?

Oh my goodness

I little birdie has alerted me to the updates to my last post and I certainly did not expect this. I apologise for my post, I just felt as people were starting to wonder about my absence that I would just say how I felt. I am not great at the written word and perhaps I got it wrong. I certainly did not mean to cause any upset to Christine or anyone, if you knew me you would know I would not set out to hurt anyone.

I need to step away and try to heal, emotionally as well as physically (geez that sounds melodramatic!).

For Anita and Sue, or anyone hurting tonight. In the spirit of 'Where two or more are gathered'...

Thinking of Anita and Sue, tonight—I was going to send this privately but then I realized that others would be thinking of them, as well. There is power in numbers, and there's never too much love.

I Wish…

I wish that I could take you by the hand
And lead you to a place where wild things grow.
A place where gentle winds speak through the trees.
A place where crystal waters wind and flow.
I would spread a blanket on the ground for you
And nurture you until you claimed your worth.
You could close your eyes and hear the sweetest sounds

The blessings of our diversity

Hi,

I’ve spent the day feeling sad and victimized – such an emotional abyss – and one I’ve recently promised not to fall into ever again.

WE ARE ALL 3RD DEGREE - or probably will be

Hi Everyone,

I found a 2005 editorial from the International Urogynecology Journal titled, “Pelvic organ prolapse: is it time to define it?” that indeed seems timely.

The article begins by the author telling us:

positive steps forward

Urogyn (or reg gyn) in Philly area?

We're new to this area, Bucks county just north of Philly, and I would so much appreciate a recommendation for a urogyn, or regular gyn, somewhere in the Philly area. I've had mild prolapse symptoms for years (I'm a senior) and lately it's getting quite a bit worse. I can feel a smallish bulge in the front wall of my vagina, and thankfully after reading the forum here, I realize that it's probably a cystocele. So I need to get it checked out and I'd like to take the advice offered here and see a urogyn.

Thanks so much to anyone who can help me with this.

Contraception and prolapse?

I'm wondering, what formsof contraception are effective with prolapse? I don't like the pill, am using condoms, but want to know is an IUD able to be used after prolapse?

Thanks

Yoo-hoo! Anita? Zelda?

Hi Gals

Just wondering if yu are still around. Hope you are both OK.

Louise

Feel blah today

I have been generally happier in the last week or two, saw a physical therapist on monday who was very friendly and told me more about prolapse then what any other doctor I've seen has.

She examined me (geez everyone wants to look) but this time I was told I have a rectocele as well as the cystocele, which I hadn't realised this before now.
Have noticed 'sorry tmi' lately I don't feel as though I haven't had proper BM, like theres still something there :(
