Under 40 and Pessary Questions

First off is anyone here with prolaspe under 40? I am 39 and have the following pessary questions.

I have have history of fibroids and have had one child via IVF. I now have been diagnosed with stage 3 proslape. I was fitted with a pessary yesterday. The ring with support until I figure out when to have a hysterectomy.

1. Does anyone else that wears a pessary feel it? This is my 2nd day with it and I feel like I am wearing a tampon.

2. Do you take it out each night? I have been to clean it and have been inserting it in the morning.

3. Do you wear it during your period? The nurse said I could but I can't imagine doing that.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse????

Hello Ladies,

I found something...its sticking out of my vagina. Its a fleshy point. I have a lot of the symptoms for p.o.p.
I'am 21 and never been pregnant. I have frequent UTI's, Constantly have to urinate, especially at night.
I am not sure what it is?
I just want to know what the prolapse first looks like or what it could be.
Can anyone help me???

Thank you

sorry if TMI

okay. a bit gross, but who can i turn to!!!! i am almost 12 weeks postpartum (can't believe it)...and my little bugger actually slept for two four hour stretchs last night!!!! yay! he had been up every 2 hours. anyway, to get down to business. i have been wearing a pad consistently since birth...at first for post partum stuff, then urine leakage, and now both of those seem much better, however i have a clearish whitish thin discharge that leaks out. it is different than my monthly discharge during ovulation, but is it possibly my body trying to get back in sync??? just curious.

Doing excercises but worse!

Hi
I posted here at 6 weeks postpartum...and you all made me feel better in that I was just healing to breathe and take it easy. I pretty much did that. I bought Christine's book and am working thru it. I got a physiotherapist that specializes in pelvic floor disorders and felt as though I was coming to grips with this and that healing was in the works.

But....yesterday as she did a rectal she said I had a "very mild grade 1 rectocyle". Okay I thought I pretty much thought that too as I self diagnozed yet again.

Now I have been doing my very few kegals a day, not lifting heavy objects (other then baby) and have been taking it easy.

my story

Hello friends! I feel that I have friends here. Friends are those who will share their thoughts and feelings with you, and empathize with yours. So much of what I read here is my own experience as well. I will be 60 next month. I noticed my prolapse a few months ago, shortly after my annual ob/gym visit, so I haven't been to the doctor since it manifested. I'm sure it's been developing for many years. Because of what I've learned here, I am no longer alarmed by it. I feel I have extremely good information about how to cope and manage it. I have Christine's new book. The facts and the spirit, it arms you with both. You have to have both.

Getting worse?

I was hoping to have a non-prolapse-obessessed week (ie not fretting constantly), and have instead been concentrating on the postures - I have been dutifully sitting cross legged with proper alignment, taking walks etc... and yet, dare I say it, today my symptoms appear worse than ever. I knew I had a moderate cystocele and UP, but I think I may now have developed a mild rectocele.

Is it possible for things to get worse before they get better? Feeling somewhat doomed....:-(

Have an appointment with the UroGyn one of the forum members recommended to have a pessary fitted, but am bracing myself for a sharp intake of breath from him, and the 'oh dear' face.

how do I describe it? and does it really work?

Last night I figured out something really really cool and I wanted to share it with you all. Since it was only last night I don't know if it will actually help or hurt but my feeling is that it is going to help a lot.

Here is what happened. I was in the bath tub on my back relaxing and a memory came to me in a flash. I remembered being a child on the swim team and we would pull in our tummies and them push out the middle section. So it looked like a long raised section of abs right down the middle of the torso. So I tried it- it created a huge vacuum effect. I felt inside my vagina and all the walls were hard a rock. My cervix was nowhere to be found. Everything was lifted up and pulled forward. even the back walls were hard. I relaxed and flexed while feeling around.

My husband wants another baby, but I'm not sure....

My little boy will be 3 years old in a few weeks and I think my husband wouldn't mind another one. My little girl is 4 now, so I guess we don't want them all to be too far apart in age. If I didn't have to go through the whole pregnancy and delivery I would do it in a heartbeat. Although my prolapses do not bother me much on a daily basis(going #2 is sometimes a pain!!!), I know that they have gotten somewhat worse since it all first happened. I guess I've just come to terms with it. Plus, for about a year or so now I have been getting daily migraines to make things worse.

I definitely would be afraid of the whole surgical intervention if I did the hospital thing.
