anal fissure and rectocele

Does a rectocele cause any pain, or could one put pressure on a fissure or hemorroid to make them hurt worse? I have a rectocele, a anal fissure, and hemorroids, The Dr. said the hemorroids are small, and need nothing done, they are internal, and just found out about the fissure. Doing all to keep bm's soft, lots of fluids, fibre, and citrecel, but the pain is always constant. I have no life, very depressed, I am seeing a colon rectal surgeon in 10 days for a second opinion. Somtimes, my rectocele looks so small, I can hardly see it, other times, it looks rather large. It never bulges out, but can they puy pressure on other things? Have had all the tests done, so I know everything else is OK, but I can't explain the pain.

RECTOCELE - what are the symptoms !!!

Hi
Is there anyone out there that has had rectocele surgery that can help.
I have had the surgery, but did NOT go into hospital for rectocele surgery. I also had no symptoms to my knowledge. I had a vaginal tear from childbirth over 5 yrs ago, and that was all.
Please can someone help me...............WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS THAT MAKE YOU AWARE THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG AND LEAD TO A DIAGNOSIS THAT THEN LEADS TO RECTOCELE SURGERY.....
I had no symptoms, just torn vaginal area, Please please can someone explain to me as the doctors don't or won't. (see my other post response to Melissa, had rectocele and cystocele surgery 5 weeks ago).

incontinence

hey all:

haven't been participating lately -- though i do read these forums all the time still. life is just...busy and i've been feeling stretched too thin but i still think this site is just the greatest. ever.

so here's what's up with me and i'd love any thoughts and/or feedback.

though i have read here many times that for lots of women the rectocele is the most problematic of all the prolapses, i must say, that with maintaining the posture (as best i can) and keeping a good eye on eating a high quality, organic diet with lots of fiber, the rectocele is...dare i say it? something i hardly think about? i mean, i need to think about it just to keep being thoughtful with the life style basics, but as to any feeling of it or difficulty...really, not a blip on my radar. amazing. i NEVER would have thought that 6 or 7 months back. never.

anal fissure

Can anyone give me information about anal fissures. Just found out all my pain in my rectum is from a fissure. I also have a rectocele. Do fissures really cause so much pain that you can't sit? Any information would be appreciated. I have an appointment with a colon rectal surgeon, but not for 2 weeks. What helps the pain, and can it make you hurt up in the rectum.

2 more questions from a newbie.

Hi ladies,

I'm still very new to all this and have another couple of questions if you dont mind?

Firstly my GP is a bit useless so I dont even know what grade my Cystocele is. Am I right in thinking that if it comes down to the vaginal opening but not actually through it at ll it is grade 2? Is it as simple as that or are there other grading factors involved?

Secondly I have noticed that I am constantly 'wet' with clear discharge down below. It's not so much that its uncomfortable or anything but I always thought a symptom of a new mum was being dryer for a while? Is this to do with the fact that my vaginal wall is being pushed low down so the lubrication it produces is just more prominent or am I missing something?

Difficult birth caused this?

I love my son. That being said, I am a 41 year old woman who 6 weeks ago gave birth to my 1st child. I was healing perfectly until I decided to do a few crunches last week. I felt something odd between my legs about an hour after. I decided to wait a few days to see if whatever it was would pop back in. It didn't. I had the 'works' for the birth. That is...4 hours of pushing thru an epidural (that numbed me), a cathetor, tearing, episiotomy and finally a vacuum to finish. I read now that likely these all contributed to my now diagnosed "grade 1 cystocele".

I have read through this site for the past few days and am feeling not as alone.

I'm confused

I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in January of last year. I was induced but labor was actually really quick and pushing was only 13 minutes and she was born. 9 lbs. 6oz. She was big. Well ever since her birth I have been having this horrible pressure feeling on my pelvis, So just recently I decided to inform my ob-gyn about this. She checked me out and said I have a cystole prolapse and there might be some rectole as well, I am gonna need surgery. I don't like that idea. She mentioned they might need to take my uterous out which is no biggie to me because I am done having children. But how is this surgery done and what comes afterwards. I have been searching frantically over the internet to try and find some information but there's not alot on the surgery itself. Can anyone help me out here?

So how much could mty cystocele improve?

Hi ladies,

i am new to all this and am just in the process of trying alternatives to surgery as I have just been diagnosed as having a severe cystocele (large and down to my vaginal opening).

I am so reluctant to go for surgery and am really willing to work at other methods. I have already taken a good hard look at diet and am rectifying this, I'm also goint to try and correct my posture.

What I need to know is as everyone seems to say Cystocele responds the best of all cseles to lifestyle changes, what exactly can I hope to achieve? Is it that my bladder will move back up slightly or right back up or what?
